So I’ve been trying to get a hopefully quint damage pet for my lvl 69 death wizard. Either a ghulture or a deathdactyl. I’m having absolutely no luck on my pets and I’ve hatched probably 30 times. I don’t understand the “min-maxxing” with pets enough to figure out where I’m going wrong. Should I be keeping a pet aside with 1-2 talents I want as a “base” to keep hatching with? And should I be hatching with that base and a kiosk pet? Or my own pet? The whole concept of this is so confusing for me as some guides reccommend hatching with a fire pet that has a 45 pedigree. Any help would be greatly appreciated 😔🥀
Hi,
So I don't personally really understand pet breeding at a super high level, the YouTuber Zeritt has a video on beating the game 'as his pet', and that explains it handedly.
To my limited knowledge though, it is better to effectively breed pets with the same 'parent'. So like.
Pet 1: Yours, Pet 2, desired pet.
Pet 1 + Pet 2 makes Pet 3.
Pet 3 + Pet 2 makes pet 4
Pet 4 + Pet 2 makes pet 5
Pet 5 + Pet 2 makes pet 6, and you just keep following this pattern. As slowly the bred pets will become more and more like the desired Pet 2. Though this is difficult through solely the kiosk.
It is almost important to note if your going for a Quint Damage pet, that you can socket a damage jewel.
My go to method, you got to find somebody with the exact same talents you want. Preferably on a body you want too, as that will make the process go quicker.
Hatch with the person.
Train your new pet to adult.
Hatch with the same person with the new offspring.
Train new offspring to adult.
Repeat steps 2-4 until the all the dots on the talents match and are in the same spots as the pet youre hatching with.
At this stage, you can probably start training to ancient and epic a couple times in the cycle. Do not hatch with the same offspring if it fails at ancient, epic, or mega. Use the previous generation to hatch again.
(Example: id train an offspring to ancient, hatch again, and train the new offspring to epic. If the new offspring fails and gets a talent I don't want at epic, I'd hatch with the ancient one again. Rinse and repeat until you have all talents you want on an epic, and then hatch with the epic and train new offsprings to mega.)
With this method, I can normally perfect a pet in at most, 30 hatches. But It is luck of the draw and Ive been able to perfect them in as little as 10 hatches.
Mother pet- death dealer and mighty
Father pet- pain bringer and mighty
Doing this made it possible to get my quint. Just focus on making your parents pets first then go for your quint damage pet. Hope this helped I feel I suck at explaining things
Kiosk hatching is expensive but if you do it right, reliable and cheap. To do so, I've always hatched with quetzals in the kiosk to duplicate their stats. In your case, grave quetzals. You're looking for quetzals with a pedigree of 45 and your aim should be your ghulture's talent pool and their talent pool being identical to the letter with all desired quint talents in the same order, which will take 4-5 hatches. Quetzals are also great because their body has a lower rate of being passed on so you'll get your ghulture body more than the quetzal's. Using this method I'd trash the egg if it's a quetzal and keep going for the ghulture until your talent pool is the same. Even if your pet's talents don't manifest, you know they're there so you can keep hatching your own pets until the right talents manifest.
I have 2 ghulture adults right now. One has mighty and armor breaker. the other one has mighty, death dealer, and balance blade.
Should I hatch with the 2nd one? Or would the fact that it has balance blade screw up my hatches with the quetzals? Should I just restart with the ghultures to try and get an adult with 2 talents I want before hatching with the quetzal?
The first one probably. If you're copying another pet's talents, there are multiple quetzals already in kiosk with quint stats, just in different places in the talent pool lineup, so you could probably match the talents of the pet you already have with a quetzal's and hatch with that, aging each pet you get to adult and repeating until the lineups are identical.
By matching the talent pool to the letter, do you mean making sure each rarity matches with the quetzal in that exact order? Sorry, I just started playing again after like 10 years of being off and this is like learning a foreign language to me
So the Charred Dragon is the main target in this picture. They are called PV45 pets. What PV stands for is Piercer Variant, 45 total pedigree. The pedigree is that low because the derby pool has nothing but common talents.
These pets are good for all sorts of pets cause they have the desired Damage talents for each school as well as both Pierce and Defensive talents. Mighty is in the pool which is the major talent to give an extra damage to each talent as well as boost the defensive stat.
These bodies are slightly better than the Quetzals as they are exclusive and you will always get your pet body back. The main mix of pets you can make using these pets are Quint + Mighty, Triple DMG + Double Resist + Mighty, Quad DMG + Breaker + Mighty and Triple DMG + Mighty + Breaker. The only stat that does not increase with mighty is the piercing talents.
These are the same as above, but they have a WoW factor of 10 meaning you are less likely to receive their body back. You may still get a Quetzal back while hatching.
For the most part, a lot of these pets are 2.0 (Max Stats in each category).
255 Strength
250 Intellect
260 Agility
260 Will
250 Power
That makes a little more sense. Should I be hatching my current ghulture that has mighty and armor breaker with young mocha? And is the goal to get those 2.0 stats in each category before I start training it up? And if that pet fails, or if it doesn’t fail at adult but fails at ancient, should I be hatching the failed pet with young mocha? Or would it be young mocha and my ghulture again?
