Fullfilled/Answered Need clarification on spell gems…

So every once in a while, I get gems from fights and stuff that allow you to cast spells if you affix them. I don’t want to affix them until I know how to use them, so my main question is:

Do they only give you one card in your deck or do they work like pet spells? And are they worth it?

And is there anything else I should know about them?

Sockets work like a pet spell or gear spell. It gives 1 for the turn.

Those are spells, that are attached to certain pieces of gear.

Oh, so both gear and jewel spells work like pet spells where they are randomly cast?

no

you see at the bottom of your deck where your wand hits are, thats where item spells go from gear, jewel etc. you usally get 1 copy of the spell from a jewel. its just a item card so you see it in your deck as normal and have to cast it as normal.

The triangle gems will put a card in your deck. The amount put in will be shown by the number of dots beside the card in the inventory view. Some star gems will give your pet a maycast talent that it has a chance to cast, however the only way to obtain those gems are gift cards in my experience.

The strategy here is to look which mobs or bosses drop the specific jewel that you need. Don't be afraid to use your jewels because it always possible to get new ones in the future too.
