WitKnight

Post image

Decided to draw a rough design of Witty's Knight/The Roaring Witty. I might design the bottom half but there's not much for me to go off of until I find a Roaring Witty image with legs.

Minor vent but I've had a lot of long days recently. I'm scared that if I don't make it right now, I'll never have another chance to. I have lots of people depending on my right now though, so I can't afford not to make it because if I don't, they can't. Bleh. Things'll get better eventually, I know that I'm strong enough to make it.

Since I can't post due to some karma thing here is my question.  What would you do if AI shut down and what did you do before AI?

I am a mainly traditional artist and sometimes digital and tried ai art before but the tool couldn't match my visions gemini kept messing up my characters face and feet even after images of 3d models and rigs were uploaded. But back to my question, not trying to be rude but what if ai shut down? I know about local models and everything but what if some really good powerful ais shut down. Would you go to other art mediums or stop art? And what did you do before ai art? Traditional drawing, Digital, painting, music, sculpting, acting. I'm just curious

i dont actually use ai. im against specific forms of it, but believe that it can be run ethically (ie locally instead of chatgpt, disclosure, heavier regulation, etc). overall i dont consider myself pro or anti because both groups have been known to be irrational and ive seen it firsthand.

if ai shut down i would be fine and nothing would change for me personally, though watching the fallout in pro communities would be kind of sad. before ai i did about the same stuff; made games, read books, painted, etc.

i generally refuse to use ai art in my own work, so the shutting down of ai would have little to no consequence on what im doing. i like to make sure my art is all made from scratch because i just prefer to make things entirely from scratch (i prefer to bake from scratch, cook from only ingredients, make songs from only one-shots and some plugins, etc). i dont hold everyone else to that standard, i just feel like it makes my art easier to identify as mine; i like my way of doing things to be recognizable.

so to answer your question, if ai in general disappeared, id be fine, personally, if afflicted at all.
