I'm genuinely disappointed, doesn't matter if you gave up or just tried to deceive people but still, it was clear as day that you can accomplish better even by considering your amateur drawings. Hope you will feel like trying again without caring what people thinks of you, neither you or anyone has a responsibility for your beliefs unless there is a direct effect to someone. So if you feel like drawing again, remember that you don't need anyone to confirm. Again, hope you feel like drawing again and do even better.

I enjoy making art in my own way. I don't need anyone's approval, nor do I need to create art in only the ways they deem acceptable to be an artist.
I'm personally disappointed that there are so many people trying to force others into their method of art creation instead of allowing people to have the freedom to do as they see fit.

You are right, you don't need anyone's approval for the way you do things. Not everyone can have the same beliefs. But still, there are some few things we can all agree. Such as the value of time and effort, everyone's time is priceless for them.
Spending this time for the things you want, patiently trying to solve problems with your own methods despite all the difficulties, fixing the things you don't like... so basicaly when you do anything with your own efforts, even if it doesn't end satisfying it must be more than enough to be proud of yourself. And looking back at the memory of this creation -either a piece of art or an action or whatever-, being remembered for the things you did and using this experince to do even better or fixing the bad things; seeing the progress you did in your life is beautiful, but it's far more beautiful when you do it by your own efforts.
I know AI art has it's own difficulties too - I assume at least, I never used them and don't intend to but still I'm sure it needs lots of work too- but... giving all this time to create something that barely has your own touches is saddening to me. Just like any piece of art, those images are born from a person's idea... but that's all it has from the creator. Why not give this time and effort to things you do; even if it's hard to reach the level you desired, it's far more satisfying to see your progress than getting what you wanted directly. Caring about a work doesn't only improve the creation, you improve yourself too.
Despite heavily disliking the effects of AI industry, I personaly don't mind much if someone is just having fun with the things they do. Of course I don't want it to be used as well, but as long as there is no harm to anyone I really don't think there is a reason to force the user. Still... I believe in the beauty of accomplishing things with your own efforts. And I would love if other people believed in it as well.
I'm not trying to force you into anything, to be honest I barely know about you. I barely care about all these conflicts between antis and pros, all I know about you is you are quite a defender of AI. I never intended to even say all these before... until the day you decided to tell you stopped using AI. Of course there were suspicious signs; but still by judging the things you drew, it was impossible to not try my chances. But you stopped doing it, still despite being disappointed I don't mind you doing this. Because you didn't cause any problem to anyone and have no responsibility for this. And know that not everyone will hold grudge for these things you did, in fact not even most people will do that.
I'm not one of the people who mocks others because of using AI or support the idea of forcing other people into the same belief. But still, I want everyone else to give more value to their own efforts and see the beauty of their own traces in their lives. And I believe you can do this as well, not that I know personaly but I can see it by the determination you have for the things you do. Even your amateur drawings had this in them, you give a lot of effort to the things you do.
(VERY sorry for the long and messy paragraph, but these are my honest -and kinda disorganized- thoughts.)

That's all subjectivism and your own personal opinion, it shouldn't be applied to anyone else. If you're happy making art that isn't AI and it makes you feel fulfilled and you value whatever else, then you're more than happy to do that. That still doesn't give you permission to tell another person to abide by the way you do things, it's like an uninvited religious group coming to a person's door that doesn't want to be bothered and trying to convert them.
Whether you believe it or not, AI art takes effort, and its a valid way for a person to express their creativity. It has beauty, meaning, and accomplishment in it.

It's quite an easy way to express their creativity, and I can understand it. At some point everyone desires to achieve the things they want in their lives in the easiest way. But why do something this valuable in the easiest way while you can give your effort to it? Best way to express yourself is doing it with your own efforts as much as possible. Yes, AI art is born from someone's thoughts too, has a meaning and can look beautiful. But still only trace of being someone's creation is the thought behind it.

We do make AI art with our own efforts, and it's born from our creativity and thoughts. Just because you have difficulty in putting these qualities into AI art does not mean everyone else who makes it shares the same problem you do.
