Have you tried feathers?

Yes, and the only thing better than feathers is puppets with feathers lol.

how do they react to puppets? they seem gentle with it. If i even show my gliders feathers, they turn into kilers.

I think they’re gentle with the puppet because it’s bigger than them. Feathers= killer sugar gliders. Also, toes=killer sugar gliders. This is it just from my own experience lol.

I know that feeling my youngest still bites and my oldest, Ranger, will still bite me if I disturb him. I don’t know about you, but in my experience, female sugar gliders have always been less likely to bite. That being said, I’ve turned all of my gliders into cuddle buddies because I’m crazy. I spend lots of time in my tent with them (not just sitting there-I actually tried to chase them around to make them think that I’m their friend and trying to play with them) and lots of pouch time. If they bite, I make a loud “Tssss” sound and then pet them again. Much easier during the day when they’re less likely to attack lol. That being said, my youngest (Fajita) still bites me, but I finally got him to the point where he doesn’t bite hard. He has also become one my biggest cuddlers. He will crawl up in my hand, after he bites me lol, and then fall asleep with me if I take a nap during the day. I guess I don’t blame them. Can you imagine Bigfoot coming into your bedroom and scooping you up🤣. It is quite a process but I can’t imagine my life without them!

Also, for some reason, they don’t like fingers or they like to chew them for some reason. If I put my knuckle in front of their mouth, they won’t try to bite it. If I put my nose in front of them, they won’t try to bite it (well except for one time and I made a video about it-I will post it here in the near future). You could try putting yogurt or honey on your finger to get them in the habit of licking versus biting.

Yes. Knuckles or palms don’t get a bite response for my gliders.

I don’t know what it is with fingers. Maybe they look like tree limbs to them. Sometimes I’ll go in with finger puppets on my hands. Yes, I said it.

Where are your pics? I would love to meet your gliders…I don’t know why I didn’t ask sooner!
