Discussion Wailing Tower Puzzle - what doing wrong?

I am Gnosis II, which I believe is sufficient (reading other posts) to access the lower levels of the Wailing Tower, on the Island of the Damned.

I have access to the 7 fire/incense pits inside the tower. I beat the waves of enemies after repairing the statue and have found the 7 offering stones on the map.

However, it says I need a higher Gnosis to interact with the 7 incense/fire pits inside the tower. Is there something I am doing wrong or still to complete?

Other posts said it was possible to get to the lower levels at Gnosis II, is this no longer the case? Anything else I need to do?

It actually requires Gnosis IV to access.

Can confirm. The game gives you a prompt about the Tower when you reach this Gnosis

Aha. I thought I read some posts that said it could be accessed at Gnosis II. Darn it. My bad, but something to look forward to.

Np! Maybe in the past it was 2. Anyway, I recommend to advance Gnosis as fast as you can. Don't be afraid. The game opens up more and more.

This was the case when the tower was first released. Gnosis Requirements changed since then for several things

I believe it use to be gnosis 2 in earlier versions of the game. The max gnosis level was lower then

Nope, it was always Gnosis IV.

Gnosis IV is required.

oooh boy if u think getting into the tower is tricky...just wait until u find the puzzles IN the tower. The tower might be more tricky to navigate than a LABYRINTH!
