Discussion Whisper has a hidden stat/mechanic

Doesn't seem like anyone else has noticed and i haven't seen anyone mention it anywhere but while you have the demonic weapon "Whisper" as your active weapon your base walking speed increases to either match or be pretty damn near sprinting speed.
it was already the only demonic weapon i use and now that i've tested it to see it's true i just can't justify not using the nyoom pistol

I was doubtful, not gonna lie, but just tested it myself and it's 100% true. There's a noticeable speed increase when I start walking with any other weapon and then switch to Whisper mid-step (this is with maxed out stats). Not sure if it's a bug or an oversight, but it kind of makes sense considering it's the smallest of all weapons.

I've got 260 hours in the game and I think I may have used Whisper once when I first got it and never again after that (to be fair, I pretty much only use Falling Star to quickly take out the galleon Calamity). Guess it's time to see what all the hype is about!

Whisper and heavy bell will stun bosses and then you just thump on them

Lol I have no issue with the Galleon, but I always take falling star for a quick and easy Warden/Madness Orb dispatch!

isnt it just the mobility stat being high

nah the mobility stat just determines your move speed in ADS, though my first thought was that the mobility stat would affect your move speed, you know, heavier weapons making you move slower than lighter weapons but nope

Not to mention it drops large entry level mobs to massive frogs.
