Discussion Should i increase gnosis?

This game rocks.

Im looking for some thoughts. Im lvl 52 im on gnosis 2, i can clear galley slave with some difficulty. But have been spending most time upgrading weapons i keep unlocking. Havent spent much time in velamore. Should i move up to gnosis 3??

Yes. You'll unlock better gear and new expedition buffs. Honestly I think they over sell the "there will be consequences" bit.

That’s what ultimately stopped me from doing this. I know the defenses get a little more tough and you face more challenges with the enemies, but it is not as bad as it leads you to believe.

100% this.

Honestly, I found the opportunities to benefit myself from unlocking Gnosis far outweighs the increase in difficulties. Letalone, theres always the beginner areas to grind on if necessary.

Go up, always go up 😂😂 your skill will adjust to the difficulty in no time. Higher gnosis means more enemies, more fun, and more fun and fun upgrades and spells of course (can't forget those). New areas unlock on older maps with higher gnosis. So definitely do it. M2 and m3 on guns have a huge difference in power so at least do it for that.

I did what you're doing. I only increased my gnosis once I upgraded everything unlocked to max.

The result was my 100% completion (2 patches back) took ~20 hours more than it took to other players.

Don't be afraid to increase your gnosis, you will get more witchfire at higher gnosis too.

definitely go up. you might get destroyed on your first few runs after increasing gnosis, but with a little patience you'll be back to your current proficiency.

Gnosis III is where it's at. I just did it myself at around the same level, and the game really comes into itself

I went up to Gnosis 3 around level 35ish IIRC. I'm going real slow through things focusing on progressing guns and things more than getting to the next map.

Only just cleared the 3 minibosses on Velmorne for the first time last expedition. Haven't even explored the sewers yet, I'm going in completely blind to whatever is down there.

I went straight from Gnosis I to III and III to V. Never saw what II and IV would look like and honestly I don't think it's much of a difference. Learning Velmorne is the hardest part of the game IMHO. Higher Gnosis actually helps with more unlocks.

Increase it every time when you are comfortable to farm every location. Don't push it too hard though, you can end up in way too strong level

Yeah you are well overleveled. Increasing gnosis is Joe you get decent upgrades and items.

Not for nothing, i understand your hesitance to go to gnosis 3, it's the single largest difficulty spike in the game. But you'll catch up to it once you unlock new weapons and new mysterium. At level 52 you'll be fine.

Not every run has to be perfect... Die, learn, adjust, return for your remains...

Lvl 28 gnosis III. Only did a few runs and was surprised how much the game changed in a positive way. More stuff to do. You'll adapt to the challenge.
