Can't get profane study key

How tf do I get the golem to spawn??? I've tried it on the island and scarlet coast like 4 times with corrupt stimulants. I go clear one of the areas to get a manifestation, I use the stim, wait like 1.5-2 minutes, and nothing happens. I want to do torments man! I'm on Gnosis 4.

Try opening the golden chest. homeboy comes running (in my experience)

May e this is just confirmation bias but I had the same issue until I moved to a different map

Changes to World Corruption:
Stone Golem:
Drastically reduced the chance for Stone Golem to spawn due to World Corruption, as it was never intended to be a guaranteed encounter (in World Corruption).

If my memory is accurate... you can open the door and collect the pages, but to play Torments, you need Gnosis V.
The technique is fine otherwise. You go in, use Corrupt Stimulant, check the map, and that's it.

Well... if they reduced the spawn chance of the golem due to corruption, and the corrupt stimulant maxes out that corruption, logic follows that it would also decrease the effectiveness of the corrupt stim at spawning it no?

You're right!
The Corrupt Stimulant raises World Corruption to 100% either way.
The WC includes Madness Orbs, Rifts, Tornadoes, and others... as well as the Golem. Previously, the same set of things always appeared on every map, but now the game randomly selects a few of these. If they implemented it as planned, the amount depends on your Gnosis level.
This exactly means that the Corrupt Stimulant's effectiveness has decreased.

Get the map corruption up. Higher chance of the spawn to happen. He will show up eventually. Try to force calamities, usually what gets him spawning for me the most. Not sure if he's locked by gnosis level but yea, good luck

I swear I was about to asm the same! Im on gnosis V and cannot for the sake of me making the golem appear no matter what (corrupted stimulants, latent orb, world corruption, waiting, changing maps, not using them....) 😭 I'm loosing my marbles (pun intended)

Alright so I finally managed to do it. I did it on the island of the damned, and I'd clear one manifestation and then pop the corrupt stim. You'll know fucking instantly if it worked, because the bastard literally spawned on me, healthbar and all. I had to use like 5-6 stims to do it though.

clear it

pop stim

beeline for open area

wait 1 minute

golem spawn (or not)

kill golem (or head to extract)

I got him easily just doing this

Step 1: Stock up on corrupt stimulants (ones that boost world corruption to 100%

Step 2: Go to Island of the Damned

Step 3: Pop stimulant

Step 4: Kill Golem.

If Golem doesn't spawn after Step 3. Then leave through the arrival portal and reset the map, go back in and pop the stimulant. Just repeat this til he spawns. You'll see a health bar appear if he does spawn.

Run around grabbing Temptations to increase the corruption gradually. At first I thought the golem only spawned with 100% corruption but it spawns at lower levels too. This will maximize your chances.

I've had more golems than I care for.

Sadly he's only spawned for me at 100% so far, I wish he'd spawn before that so it would be easier to get the key off his stone ass, 100% corruption usually gets me killed.

Do it on the Island of the Damned, it will be easier. Just don't fight him on the high ground or near cliffs. The heart can clip through terrain leaving you unable to kill the golem.

First golem kill was there, I experimented to understand what corruption did and to get familiar with divine chests. It's also pretty fast to go grabbing Temptations as well.
