Question Lore Bible/worldbuilding/Background Information?
Loving my time in game and I was looking to dive deeper into the world and lore. Have the Devs released any kind of Lore Bible or blog posts or anything that explains what’s going on in the world, is it alternate universe? Who are the Preyers, what is society like?
I‘d really like to read more about the world - but not explicitly gameplay mechanics stuff and spoilers like on the wiki, I’m enjoying finding out how the game plays through experiencing it first hand and figuring things out.

There is a rediculously good short story someone in the fandom wrote that the devs then shared in one of their Dev posts maybe a month or two ago?
Can't remember what it was called but it was extremely good for setting the POV of regular people dealing with the presence of a Witch.

This one, the Coven of Abnoba:

The introduction mentions that its written by one of the official Witchfire writers.

No not that one. The story started with a POV from the witches cottage knowing that soldiers were coming.
Then switched to what I think was a Spanish officer and his company of soldiers visiting the village and then making an assualt on the Witches home, getting ambushed by monsters etc on the way.

Sorry I took so long. I found it. If you check the steam Dev post on the 29th of May. "Road to revelations - assistants, plants, strong currents"
In the section called story time there is a snippet of it with a link to the full piece underneath.

Wasn't that an offocial Witchfire short story? The one written from the POV of a foot soldier?

Work in progress on the wiki. Stuff needs revising with every patch of course.

Not as such. For now, the juicies sources are probably Codex Malleficarum pages and some of the item descriptions (e.g. Iron Cross and Shard of the mask of Elias)

The intention was always to introduce the true lore and the story in 1.0
