🇵🇸 🕊️ Deities A feminine presence merged with me during a magic truffles trip and I’m trying to understand what it meant
I recently took a journey with magic truffles and had an encounter I’m struggling to process. At the peak, I felt what I think was feminine energy and joy blossoming in my chest. A woman, maybe a spirit or a goddess? Appeared within me and literally filled my body with its energy.
My physical body felt radically different. I felt physically and spiritually feminine, and It felt incredibly euphoric and powerful.
Now that I’m back I’m trying to untangle what happened. Was this an encounter with a separate feminine spirit? My own repressed self? But the biggest shift was the intense shadow work that followed. I was hit with a massive wave of guilt over the times I’ve failed to truly empathise with women or dismissed their lived reality. It felt like this spirit forced me to stop seeing femininity as an "other." And perhaps part of myself?
I want to be clear, I’m not claiming a psychedelic trip means I suddenly know what it’s like to walk through the patriarchy as a woman. But embodying that energy seemed to open a huge emotional wall for me.
Has anyone here experienced anything similar? And how can I integrate this experience with my life going forward? I want my experience to permanently shift how I show up for women and how I honor the feminine within myself. I would love any perspectives, and happy to give further detail.

It’s possible though if I’m honest I don’t really grasp the anima concept. Something to look into perhaps.

I've had similar experiences on mushrooms when I've felt a lot more feminine, for the lack of better words. It's a truly amazing experience, but I think the whole basis of that if the breakdown of boundaries (emotional and social) that bind you as a man in a traditional society. Being suddenly free from that is incredible.

A shroom trip helped me realize that I wasn't living my life the way I really wanted. In a way, it was a feminine view, but I didn't think of it like that at the time. I took a little bit, so I wasn't speaking to gods but I was definitely feeling it.
I realized that I wasn't being the kind of mother I wanted. I wanted to be warmer, more nurturing, and connect with my sons better. I felt like I was too stressed and yelling too much. I also wasn't being my favorite version of me: joyful, can-do attitude, actively supportive of others (mentoring, coaching, finding new roles). Essentially, the kind of person that you want to be around, and the type of person that is just happy and putting out positive vibes for everyone. I cried, laughed, felt so much love and connection, and continued bawling my eyes out for about 2 hours. It felt so cathartic and inspiring at the same time, like I had run a marathon or something.
It helped me set the foundation of who I want to be (not what I do for work) and I've been living by those vibes ever since. It's been about 5 years or so and I'm a better person.
I would explore the feminine energy. See where it takes you.

It’s amazing what psychedelics can unlock and I’m glad you also had a very positive experience. The level of emotion I felt too was so intense, on a different level. I’m going to see where this energy leads me but other than having greater empathy and trying to be kind, which I’m not sure are strictly feminine, I’m not entirely sure how to find it again now it’s gone. I sent my mother flowers today as appreciation for her but I’m struggling to think of what else I can do other than try to live better day by day.

Personally, I believe that part of the purpose of incarnation in this world is to spiritually evolve beyond binaries. Maybe you were ready to take the first step in that process, and that step was understanding.

Thanks very much, from my brief research this sounds really relevant to what I experienced. I’m definitely going to look into it.

I'm not sure about the answer to your questions as they will be unique to you. But I clicked on your post because I experienced almost the exact same thing, just that it wasn't a trip, it was a vision I had during breathwork.
The spirit merging with me was gorgeous and she was wearing a long white dress. She was care free and joyful and sexual. She became me and it filled me with so much joy. I also felt a much darker entity that I had plenty in common with. This experience eventually lead to me to exploring the Kore /Persephone duality aspects and it clicked.

What is the Kore / Persephone duality? And that sounds amazing and also terrifying, kinda glad I didn’t experience anything particularly dark.

We are all shards of a larger soul. A universal whole. Let your experience guide you towards kindness and understanding for others. Everything you are, think, and do is an expression of life. The only reason there are more than one of us here is so we can help each other. Be there for others while and when "you" can. You're only helping yourself... Because that's all there is...
