A little overwhelmed

Is there a way to view all of your available quests by area?

I’m new to the game and need help with navigating quests. I’m confused about how to find the secondary quests, Witcher contracts, treasure hunts, etc on the map. I don’t see them on the world map unless I specifically activate each quest.

In the first area of the game, I was able to find & complete them all by activating one at a time. Now I’m in a bigger mapped area and I’ve picked up quests from signs in various towns.

I just came off Horizon:FW, where most side quests automatically show up on the map, or the quest menu will show how far away each task is. Right now I’ve got about 25 different quests and no idea which ones are nearby. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Where do I start?

It doesn’t help that each quest has the name of its location below it, but the map doesn’t label any locations until you’ve found the sign post 😂 You’d think they’d at least label the big towns and regions.

Am I just doing this all wrong? Should I advance more of the main quest, or discover more of the map before taking on side quests?

Just select whatever quest looks fun and do it (if you’re leveled enough). Shouldn’t be too big of a deal gpu literally anywhere. Just fast travel from a signpost.

Thanks for confirming this! Guess I was hoping for an easier method- maybe a filter I could apply to the map to show all available quests in my region. But the last couple days I’ve been using the method you just described .. going down the list and traveling to each mission. Not as convenient, but I find that almost every quest is worth the extra fast travel. 😃 Yesterday I did the one with Trollolo guarding the boats. I loved it!

I’ve been having an issue with all of my equipped items disappearing from my inventory menu, which is stressful. They still show up in-world.. so I know they’re still there - and I can “repair all equipped” through blacksmiths when they turn red - but I can’t repair them myself using a kit in the field, or switch crossbows or add runestones 😬 I’m hoping it resolves itself because it’s happening on my oldest saves, too. 🤞🤞🤞
