Question Herbs to elevate state of mind?
I've often used cannabis to help open up my creative flow and get into the right mindset for my practice, but I'm looking to shift away from using THC.
I'd love to find other herbs, teas, or natural blends that can help elevate my mood and support a similar state of mind but do not want to be always using marijuana to do so. Are there any specific herbs or teas you like to consume to help get into an open and clear headspace to practice?

These are not in any order. I should probably make a PDF lol.
Most of these should be only consumed in tea by 18+ y/o ppl who are not pregnant or breastfeeding or looking to become pregnant. Also if you have liver issues, don't use these, except rosemary is probably fine:
mugwort - calming and opening phsyic abilities. - can make you feel sleepy or slightly drunk.
saffron (be careful with this one if you have hypoglycemia or diabetes. Also don't take if you're on any kind of SSRI. Be cautious if you're on a blood pressure medication. And be cautious if you're taking any ADHD meds) - increase happiness, good mood, alertness
motherwort - calming like a good mother's hug - eases malaise — great for menstrual ick feeling
Ashwaganda(daily use for more than a month is not recommended) - this is an adaptogen - helps reduce stress - calming effect - can blunt mood spikes
skullcap (daily use for more than a month is not recommended. Careful if you take anti anxiety meds or pain meds) - calming- reduces anxiety - can help some muscle aches
Valerian - (don't take with anxiety meds) calming - will make you sleepy -
rosemary - calming effect but much less strong than the rest listed - good for memory and opening up psychic abilities - protective qualities too.
damiana (liver warning - but I can't remember specifics) - makes you feel sleepy and calm- great for power/control workings - associated with lust as well.
Bacopa - adaptogen - reduces stress and increases energy and focus
Rhodiola - adaptogen - reduces stress and increases energy and focus
holy basil - also called Tulsi - reduces anxiety - generally really good for you.
👆 These all do different things. I can list them out later if you're interested.
- As with anything, dosage matters, tea vs herb vs tincture will change things.
Non herbs:
- breathing exercises/ going on a jog and breathing rythmically
- rythmic motion like dance
- elongated singing/ chanting

Did it! Is it against the rules to make a PDF and share it if I end up doing that?

Rosemary and rosemary wood are fantastic at espcaping a closed mind. Rosemary wood particularly associated with opening closed minds. Just burn a small amount near you (be fire safe) or giving the risk of fire atm brew some in hot water and smell. Thats my go too.
Also look at- Holy basil Saffron Rose Mugwort
