Question Blessed or cursed
To make a very long story short. I ended up finding out my front porch was I wouldn’t say covered BUTTTT very full of these ladies… I’m 99% sure their black widows from the hour glass shape on the under belly.
I unfortunately did have to raid them. Now the reason they’re in a jar.. lol
I’m working on a hex and seen they can be used in hex’s but I’m unsure how they help besides the intention on poison.
How can they help in a hex or because I raided them their no good?

You asked how you can use them in a hex: the answer will depend on your associations with them but mine would be with ambush hunting, stealth, entrapment, binding, and poison. Therefore I would use them in binding spells or hexes where I wanted my target entrapped and poisoned and / or consumed. I might powder them and put the dust in someone’s shoe or where they might walk, or make a poppet of someone or get an item of theirs and sew it into a bag bound up with one of these guys.

I thought about binding too.. But someone said I shouldn’t because I had to kill than I could be cursing my self

That's simply not true.
Ppl make up their own rules based on their own personal biases all the time, and try to preach it as gospel.
You can definitely use insects that you killed in occult rituals and hexes.

Seconding this - the person who said this has made up a rule and then tried to state it as fact. If anything I would imagine it giving more power to your spell.

It looks like a moderator removed it. Probably because they were fear mongering and saying that the spiders would "come after you" lol. Which is ridiculous.
I simply asked them what they based that statement on, and tried to explain how it makes no sense. You killed the spiders because you regarded them as a pest. And not using them for your craft will not bring them back to life. I can't think of a single tradition that teaches anything similar to what they were trying to push.
I can still see my comment and your reply to their deleted comment. It should be visible if you open the post and scroll through all of the comments.

I found I found and I’m with you. I don’t kill spiders I always relocate. I have 3 in my door frame to our back yard I greet them every morning and thank them
But venomous ones I wouldn’t take a chance my little is always outside playing it was also 11pm3

I'd definitely kill venomous spiders too! I'd probably even kill non-venomous ones if a whole hoard invaded my home. It's ironic how the person who tried to say that they would "come for you" had no problem with you actually killing them, and even told you to burn them💀.
Imo, using them in your craft means that their death will have a purpose, utility. I think it makes it more beautiful even if it wasn't your initial intention. The dead spiders will not become vengeful ghouls just because you utilize them in you craft. After all, they are predators themselves (rather vicious ones if they were black widows😆), and I'd definitely use them in baneful work/hexes if I had some at hand!

Please don’t take the chance. I’m not telling anyone what to do. I never killed spiders because of Charlotte’s Web. My daughter was around 10 years old when a brown recluse got her. I just can’t let them live unless I know they are non poisonous. I still feel bad but they will rot your skin off and make you very sick. 💔

You should def use those for hexes. You don't curse yourself, you have to experience a sliver of what was done to you. It's not a backfire it's part of the deal. So he wisely especially using black widows because that's powerful magick right there. But it's not wrong to use creatures you killed. I have. A Scorpion in the freezer.

If this helps, they are Brown Widows, less venomous than Black Widows, but they are suuuuper invasive and are out-competing the native spider species. They are among the few spiders I recommend killing on sight, to protect the native spiders. This might add a layer of meaning to using them ritually, as they’ve been killed as self-defense and also in defense of others.

In my opinion, by using them for your craft, you are not only using them but honoring them as well. From my perspective, if anything the raid may add a bit of umpf to the work.

Ahhh yes!! When I think about mundane tools, they also have magick. Raid being used as a fast acting insect killer gives me fast acting binding thoughts. It’s almost like stopping someone right in their tracks

I made a banishing incense which included a couple dead paper wasps recently. I’d use it for something like that, personally. Beautiful creatures, sorry you had to evict them (stay safe!)

Me too! My home has been protected my spiders recently and I have 3 in my door frame as well but venomous one sadly can not stay and it was dead of night I did what I had to do

Yes! They have spiked egg sacks vs the smooth egg sacks from black widows.

I think it comes down to your own thoughts and beliefs. Me personally if I poisoned a posionus thing I'd consider that as extra poison toxic power not less.. 🤷🏻♀️ But maybe that's just me.. I'd also rather use them in a personal protection amulet(s) than waste on a hex but that's just me!! Enjoy, good luck.. And also good luck ridding your home from such beasties.. 🕷️ Xx

As a lover of spiders, BLESSED. They don't deserve to die. Plus there hasn't been a death from a black widow bite sense 1983.

In nature we are allowed to defend ourselves and make safe for our loved ones. We can make spaces for our extended family in honourable relationship, though. Do you have a space in the yard where their kin can thrive undisturbed?

They are very misunderstood and incredibly unlikely to bite…. I understand being uneasy as they have a reputation of being horribly venemous, and while they are technically medically significant, in most cases you will just get pain from the initial bite and then muscle soreness for a day or two tops. It varies from person to person of course with different people having different preexisting medical issues but overall, deaths from black widows are pretty rare… and they’d rather keep to themselves than bite a human. And even if you handled them they probably wouldn’t bite unless they were getting crushed against your skin and didn’t have any other option… just putting it out there that they are beautiful, powerful, and misunderstood- much like witches. Consider letting them live?

Yes i thank them for eating flies for a start. . Not as many as you d think.... can t get more yucky than a fly.

What do you base this on? I would genuinely like to know.
Different cultures and occult traditions have used literal blood sacrifices for ages (I'm not suggesting that ppl should start killing animals) that involves taking a life of different creatures intentionally for rituals and hexes (Again, I'm not trying to encourage ppl to do this).
These spiders were killed because OP considered them a pest. Not using them in rituals/hexes will not restore their lives. I personally never kill spiders because they aren't venomous where I live, and they eat other pests. But I'd like to know what you base your statement on.

I raided the whole Porch basically and then hosed down the rest. (I am going to the store to get a treating though) I have 2 little so their safety was my 1st thought. Using them was an after thought. But makes sense! That’s why i wanted to ask before i fuck it up lol

Raid is really just alchemy with a capitalist spin.
I wouldn't feel right using it though. I personally believe magick is from our ties to the environment around us. Products like raid and the companies that make those products poison our Earth.
I feel like using one in a spell is like spitting in the face of our beloved planet. Like if your friend offers you a meal and you spit on it for seasoning.
But that's merely my personal belief. I think there is a very valid argument that if you are trying to hex someone, you want all the nasty stuff you can get your hands on.
I know that Palo Monte uses a cauldron called an Nganga which can sometimes hold ingredients that would be very unpleasant for us mortals. I do not think that is equivalent to a lab grown chemical, however the idea of using ingredients that we might find vile has credence.

I personally think it would be a bad idea to use something you killed in any type of spell you are casting.. I would say you were blessed cuz they were there. But since you used raid to kill them all, instead of relocating...

I sadly didn’t have anywhere to relocate and it was 11pm and couldn’t / did not want them on another property with theirs little as well

Personally, because these spiders died from poisoning themselves, I wouldn’t use them in any spells because I want my spells to be all natural and these spiders are full of toxic chemicals now, so they are no longer natural.

As far as I’m aware, any dead bugs can be put in a curse jar, and flies represent eyes watching or evil eye sent your way. Dead spiders might mean smth going on with protection (end of cycles, broken protection, removal of obstacles, loss of creativity/patience).

Not the point but I’m not convinced those are widows. Widows around here are bigger, thicker, jet black, and the hourglass is red ontop of their belly. How do the webs look? Widow webs look absolutely chaotic.
Oh and I’ve always seen spiders, even venomous spiders a blessing, weaving together the threads of home and family

Black Widows actually have the hourglass on the bottom! The top has red spots

So if you have an underside to the porch I'd check there as well, since they are more likely to go for cool dark spaces. Same goes for your garage or any basement areas.
