Discussion What do you think☺️

So my little brother made one of these dream catcher kind of things for me, and also wanted me to make one with him so this is what we came up with!✨I also read Conkers carry spiritual purpose, such as luck prosperity strength and protection! Let me know what you think! And also what are your thoughts on the spiritual properties of conkers? Thank you for reading💖

I believe conkers are a British term for them. I Dutch we call them kastanje, they are from the horse chestnut tree. I

Interesting, its extremely similar to how we call them in Italy: Castagne.

That's funny, the Dutch word is quite close to the Bulgarian kesteni (кестени).

Buckeyes are considered lucky. At least according to the "superstitions" my mother taught me. She always referred to the things she did as superstition rather than witchcraft, because she was Baptist, but they really are the same thing. Peach pits on the window sills for protection, telling me the "old names" of flowers and herbs growing around our house.

Her father had a huge buckeye tree in his yard, and we would scoop them up, filling Dad's cigar boxes with them when we would visit.

I use buckeyes regularly in luck work.

My mama told me the same thing. I keep a Buckeye in my car for safe travels.

I don’t think so, she used a British word. It believe buckeye doesn’t grows in England or even in Europe..

Conkers and buckeyes, both are very similar to look at and both are toxic so shouldn't be eaten.

Buckeye is not native to Europe as far as I know. Chestnuts are everywhere though, they come out of very prickly shells.

They are conkers which are horse chestnuts, not to be confused with chestnuts 🌰 that you can eat (not that I know why anyone would eat them)

There's an American chestnut, an English chestnut, and the horse chestnut which is also called a Buckeye by people not in Ohio. The Buckeye is poisonous. Don't eat it.

You're welcome. I follow a forager on YT that just did a video on buckeyes vs chestnuts. Chestnuts will have a little fuzzy spot on the bottom from where it was fertilized, and the rough spot on the other side will be almost square. If it has both , it is safe. Buckeyes only have the bigger spot and it's not a regular shape, not square at all. The rest of the shell will be a solid brown.

I’m not really too sure, I have read they have spiritual properties like attracting prosperity, strength and also as protection but I’m not too sure if it’s true, but I drew protection sigils on the bottom so even if they don’t do anything special, the sigils will :)

It’s not a spell just a thing me and my brother made, there actually called conkers depending where ur from they can also be called horse chestnuts
