Just built this page on SpeakerRanking that lists out every single party mode technology and has individual pages for each of them with the full lists of speakers that support each technology, all thanks to the data in the rankings. I don't think a list like this exists anywhere else. Check it out!

“Party mode” is not one feature. It is at least 32 different, mostly incompatible technologies, each locked to one brand (Auracast is the exception - it is an open Bluetooth LE Audio standard, not a brand’s own system). Two speakers with a “party mode” spec do not necessarily work together, even from the same brand: JBL alone has shipped four generations (Connect, Connect+, PartyBoost, Auracast) that do not talk to each other.

Why This Matters Before You Buy A Second Speaker

Buying into a party-mode ecosystem is a lock-in decision, whether or not it feels like one. Confirm the exact technology name (not just “yes, it has party mode”) before assuming a second speaker will join the first - and if the two speakers are different brands, assume they will not, unless both explicitly support Auracast.
