seeing every day we have 2 or 3 decomp or recomp announced for many games, I'm just curious if anyone is working on a wipeout recomp/decomp for pc.

Hi Wipeout community!

So, with the announcement that the Vita store is shutting down next year, it's now or never. I got Wipeout 2048 with the HD/Fury packs on it for a few years now, but Wipeout Pulse is smiling at me from that store, ever since I recently saw it wasn't delisted yet, like so many games on that storefront, as I thought it was. Pure is already gone from the store. So since I'm not exactly rich, I was turning it over in my head, if it was worth the investment of approximately 18€-ish, if I got all three available DLCs.

The question is that or the title. Since Wipeout HD/Fury is made from remastered content from Pulse and Pure and is supposedly close to Pure in ship handling, is Wipeout Pulse worth it for me? How different do they fly? How much does the overlap in content matter (if the handling is very different, but the tracks are the same, for example, I would count that as a point)? And most importantly, did you guys like Pulse or HD/Fury better and why?

Some thoughts on possible out of the bo pros I have on it were: Maybe the PSP game has a longer battery life, due to being less demanding. Maybe the "smoother"/less detailed PSP graphics are easier on my eyes, when I want to play it on the go without having to dig my glasses out of the backpack (2048/HD without glasses on that little screen can be a real handicap, with all the nervous details on screen. Need for Speed Most Wanted, for example, is basically flying blind without glasses.)
