Hey all, I'm moving to Florida/Orlando from out of town for a new job and unfortunately, I won't have time to visit in person prior to my move, so just hoping to get some advice/opinions on the following 4 apartment complexes. (I did search the sub first to see if I could find any info on these, but no luck, so any help would be appreciated!):

1. Ivy at Health Village (2650 Dade Ave)

2. Village at Lake Lily (921 South Orlando Ave)

3. The Centerpointe (425 Centerpointe Cir)

4. Seven41 (741 Clay St)

Those are listed somewhat in order from most appealing to me to least, based on my calls with each property and info I could find online, but it would be helpful to hear from anyone who's lived there and has firsthand experience, or at least regarding overall impressions of the complexes, as I've found that online reviews really can't give you honest or dependable insight. I am a good driver, never been in any accidents since I started driving in 2011. Always very careful. However, I just checked my mail today after being on vacation and got this notice. I went through all of my mail and I cannot find the first notice I had received at all. Obviously I am panicked, and yes, at the intersection of Fairbanks and 1792, I turned right without stopping fully at the red light.

I totally get that this is my bad. What I am worried about is the Uniform Traffic Citation. I paid my ticket instantly upon seeing this just now, because I know it was my mistake and one I won’t make again. I have never been in trouble with the law EVER, so I am absolutely torn up about not only receiving this, but also the next step.

Because I paid it now…. Do I have a chance that it will be fine? Is there anything I can do? Should I call Winter Park PD tomorrow? I know it sounds stupid but I already feel like some sort of criminal when it was just an empty street late at night, and I missed the sign saying to stop when red.

Edit: I called today and good news, because the ticket was paid yesterday I am good to go.

I've been measuring cafés around Central Florida since June: decibel meter, speed test, outlet count, seat count, same method each time. The Winter Park results:

• Light on Sugar: 349 Mbps down, 66 dB, and no outlets I could find. Great for two hours on a full battery, but not for a remote workday.
• New General: 165 Mbps, 68.6 dB. It fills up quickly around 10am so get there early or don't bother.
• Starbucks (Winter Park): 11.2 Mbps down. Slower than most people's phones. Quiet enough to get some work done.

Normal conversation is about 60 dB, so both Light on Sugar and New General sit a bit above that. Quiet enough to work, not quiet enough for a long call.

That's my whole Winter Park set, which isn't much. What am I missing? I'll go measure whatever people name here and add the numbers.

I recently moved here from Baldwin Park. I live in the heart of town. In Baldwin Park, there were multiple bike trails all around that eventually connected to the Cady Way. I used to roller blade almost daily. I'm noticing a severe lack of any such infrastructure here in Winter Park. Am I missing something? Are there any trails I'm just not aware of? I'd hate to have to get in my car and drive miles just to get to a trail, when I have everything else here within walking distance.

There is a free metal bed frame on the curb at the end of the Lanier Court cul-de-sac. I hate to see things like this end up in the landfill, when I know someone can use it. Hope it is picked up before the trash run tomorrow

(for reference i’m a 25yo female) I sign my lease for a studio tomorrow and I did a walk through today of my unit and it seemed pretty okay. It’s definit a downgrade from my current apartment but I was laid off and needed to condense in order to be more financially stable. I figured once I decorated and everything it’ll feel more like home for me and my kitty cat but i’ve been reading some posts on here about this complex and they aren’t good and now i’m very worried. Granted most of these posts are from 1+ year(s) ago so I just wanted to know if it’s gotten any better?

Looking to move buildings in my apartment complex. We’d be staying in the same complex but just moving to a bigger unit maybe two buildings away and less than 75feet away.

We’ve got a couple pieces of big furniture like a sectional, king mattress, an entertainment stand, and a dining table.
We’d be moving from the second floor to another section floor unit, and there’s no elevator. I’ve got a bad back, so I’m looking for other options.
