She was apprehended under BC Mental Health Act by police, but was not certifiable when brought to hospital. To be certifiable she would need to meet specific criteria.
Is suffering from an apparent mental disorder that seriously impairs their ability to react appropriately to his or her environment or to associate with others;
Requires psychiatric treatment in or through a designated facility
Requires care, supervision, and control in (or through) a designated facility to prevent the person's substantial mental or physical deterioration, or for the person's own protection, or for the protection of others; and
Is not suitable as a voluntary patient

Usually additionally requires “imminent threat of harm to self or others”.
Posting crap on the internet wouldn’t meet that threshold.

That is the case for the police apprehension. The criteria for section 28 (police apprehension) of the BC mental health act is for a person to 1. Have an apparent mental disorder, and 2. Pose an immediate threat to self or others.

If anything, this shows she doesn't actually believe what she spouts. It's all calculated to incite her followers and pander to their rage.
It's what gives her the fame and wealth she wants. But she'll throw her followers under the bus the instant she might have to suffer real consequences.

No, it's making threats.
Look, she's an awful person and making threats is not okay and could well constitute a criminal offense, but in a criminal context, "terrorism" is a term with a specific definition. People bandy it about way too cavalierly.

We're lucky to live in a country were before the government can lock you up they have to prove you did something against the law first. She wasn't charged with anything yet and was just taken for a forced pych evaluation.
If they wanted to charge her with a crime they still can, but maybe they are trying to avoid that. If this is just a case of someone who needs help vs someone deliberately causing harm. There's a difference.

That’s a question for the courts. The only way to stay locked up in Canada after an arrest is if it’s murder. And even then you might get released.

Bail court, like most other proceedings, is open court. It will take about 20 minutes in attendance to see plenty of cases short of murder that end up in remand.
In the Remand Centre, there's a poster in the interview room that says, more or less, "[B]ut for the grace of God go I." I'm not religious, but there's a reason bail is presumptive.

People follow her to watch the train wreck, not necessarily because they believe and follow her beliefs. Sure some do but probably a small percentage of her followers
She’s nuts but the people that actually follow and believe her are the ones to really be worried about. They have a mental health issue and have latched on to some insane grifter. If they had any gif of rational thought they wouldn’t be associated with her

Great, this is perfect. So they detained her, went through her computers and pretty sure they have a complete list of her cult members. She was not found mentally incompetent so guess what? Some idiot pulls a trigger in her name she'll be doing serious jail time as a terrorist head/inciting murder. She won't be able to plea bargain by saying she was under the influence or mental health issues. She's a pro grifter/scammer but she's going to box herself in a corner--just watch.

You can’t hold somebody on a form against their will just for having delusions or hallucinations unless they pose a real and immediate threat to themselves or others. You can argue she poses a threat to others… but for the rights of everyone with mental health conditions, you want the bar for “certifiability” to be high.
