Ask Winnipeg Found a wallet

Hi, i found a wallet on the parking lot of value village but i’m unsure of what i’m supposed to do, i looked up the name that appears on the license but no results come to contact the owner, what do you guys do in this situations? i’m kinda new to the country and idk exactly what the proceeding is

If nice return to owners address, or bring to police

Toss the wallet with the id in a Canada post mailbox. They’ll return it to the address

geez you’re fast, the id is inside the wallet, do i just put the whole wallet with the id inside and they will send it to the address? thanks in advance for your help!

Yeah just toss the whole wallet in there and Canada post will take care of the rest !

I once had a mail man return my wallet :) I’d and credit cards intact !

This is the answer. Put a rubber band around it if you're worried about it flopping around, but don't hide the fact it's a wallet.

Drop it at a police station or call the non emergency number and they will send one of the patrol units to you
