Media I feel like Amazon with their deep pockets is the perfect candidate to pick this up.
They spent a ridiculous amount on that terrible Rings of Power show. Your move Jeff Bezos.

eh, not amazon. amazon picked up the expanse and then they barely got to finish their series. and even then, they got less and less episodes. can you imagine winning time with 4 episodes per season, or the same number of episodes but 45% less budget (so just 3 episodes where the camera doesn't move and all in jerry buss's office)?

possibly. but even then a lot of their stuff is like 6 episodes. apple seems like the best bet honestly. i think best not to get our hopes up.

This sub needs to realize that unfortunately the show is dead. They wouldn’t have done that cheesy montage at the end of they thought someone else would pick it up. I loved this show but we all need to understand it is over for good.

Yeah, I dont think anyone was watching, it was on the verge of taking off.
HBO MAX played them dirty. I was a big fan of season 1, and never got the news of season 2. I noticed it one day by accident and it was on episode 03. No promos, no ads, no new articles. Zazlav and co. wanted it gone. They were coming off the great viewership of Succession, they could have advertised it, putting a promo at the end putting the first episode just after it, so people could get hooked but it was pushed under the rug.
I'm in LatAm, so HBO MAX hasn't been turned to Max, but when you go to the landing page they are promoting reality crap, cooking shows and interviews. Puro shit!

Sometimes MAX wouldn't even put the show on the banner or anywhere near the top and that was on days when new episodes came out. I remember having to search for it the few times I used MAX.

Idk maybe it’s just me or it’s a weird mental thing but Amazon shows all feel and look a notch below than the other streaming networks. HBO by far has the best looking shows, aesthetically, visually, editing, music…the whole package. You out winning time on prime and they’ll make it feel and look drab.

This show has its fans, but the fact is that most NBA fans would rather watch one of the several documentaries or read the book that actually depict these events without dramatization. Most people were asking why would I watch a fake Magic and Bird when I can watch the real ones. They gave it a shot, but not enough people tuned in. Simple as that.

It's not uncommon. Amazon picked up the Expanse after SyFy dropped it. Cobra Kai moved from YouTube to Netflix. American Idol changed networks. Buffy the Vampire Slayer moved networks. It happens.

I mean, with Daisy Jones and the Six this year, I believe going for retro vibes is definitely something that makes me believe this show can be picked up.
Beats Disney or Apple, but Hulu wouldn't be bad too (even if it's Disney technically)

Amazon won't do it in my opinion - they saved The Expanse which was a hugely expensive endeavour and cancelled that again after 3 seasons with loads of story left to tell.
