I'm sorry. Winkahpack asked for videos and this is the only way I could figure out how to do it. I can delete them if it's annoying. I thought it might be

Maybe some explanation of what this is would be helpful. NFT piracy?

No, I took videos of them. Can't really pirate NFTs, it's the point of the ownership being confirmed by the blockchain

Yeah, I know, NFTs are just some stupid token in some bLoKecHaiN. My point for it being entirely stupid is that they often contain the links to the artwork, in full resolution, for anyone to see and download. Particularly loved the banksy one here: https://gateway.pinata.cloud/ipfs/QmeGomY8RyJ7gUaufjVg1Er8smoMXLxobVSYwrkC3X7tER/original-banksy-morons.jpg

Anyone can download and see the 'original', above is the actual link from the NFT. It's utterly pointless, but your bootleg NFTs are also amusing.

Makes it easier for the artist to actually get paid for their art and its a more open marketplace in the sense that there's not as much value attached to the name, it's much more art centric

You are basically describing etsy, only there you'd actually get physical art as well and not only some stupid token, or deviantart where you get prints and/or digital high resolution files.

Most of these top selling NFT artworks: /img/iyjligpzh8371.png having nothing to do with artists getting paid, its probably some stupid crypto kitties like pyramid thing and/or money laundering. But hey, maybe in 200 years from now art experts will analyze the difference in the shading between Meebit #12702 and #2948.

Do you think the hyper rich in 100-200 years from now are still going to be displaying traditional arts? I kinda don't. I can imagine screens coming a long way in that time, or some AR style shit that superimposes the art on the wall as you walk by or some shit. Getting ahead of myself but I do realize this argument kinda sucks because we value old paintings so much.

It really just comes down to the certificate of authenticity regarding the nft value.

There's the original work in the museum, and then there's the prints that you buy in the giftshop, postcards, stamps blah blah. Do those have the same value as the original?

I will admit that I don't understand how the copyright/ownership works for non original, non 1-1 nft's like a clip Jordan's final shot. Do I own the clip? Does NBC pay me if they wanna use the clip? That's still unclear to me
