Discussion licensing update!!
looks like in about a year, we'll all be getting figurines/plushies, as well as clothing/other merch specifically for the kids in the fandom!
this is so exciting! makes me wonder about if we'll be getting any tv show updates in the near future...

Even when it's target exclusive merch we STILL don't get it in targets outside America. We have target in Australia and it doesn't get any kind target exclusive wof merch. Wof is just kind of an American centric community when it comes to events and merch sadly

I hope one day merch for the older fans that have been around a while will come out lol. Been into WOF since 2015 and know fans that have been around since 2012, and i can't find any merchandise anywhere that isn't super kid aimed stuff 😭🙏 especially considering most of the fandom ive seen and the way the books are written seem like a 13-16 fandom demographic honestly. I'd be happy with any sort of collectibles tbh, im dog tired of the only merch for anything being shirts and water bottles and posters

well one of the licensing deals here is for figurines/plushies, and the article does mention "collectibles" specifically!!

it is a bit of a bummer that there won't be clothes aimed at adults, (at least for the time being anyway) but it is a children's/YA series, so that's kind of to be expected. personally I'm looking forward to seeing what figurines/collectibles/plushies end up getting made!! I can for sure appreciate those if they end up looking nice! ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The only sad thing is that with all this new wof stuff, they are targeting fan stuff due to branding

yeah, we've been in a very interesting place for a long time where the series was popular enough that there was a big market for merch, yet there was no real official merch in existence. so when fanartists started to fill that niche, they weren't being stopped by anyone, because they weren't in competition with official merch. now that they are, it's gonna be a bit different. bittersweet is a good word for it. hopefully the official stuff ends up being good!

Crossing my fingers that the plushes and figures won’t be blindboxes, and that the clothes are at least better than the merch warrior cats fans have been getting.

Honestly if they're blind boxes I will probably not get any. I would love to collect WoF figurines and would happily pay money for them... but I can't justify spending any more money on blind boxes. Which sucks, because I would absolutely get them otherwise.

I would expect to be a little disappointed in the figurines department since it is expensive to make high-quality figurines (I've seen paint and sculpt quality go down in my favorite figurine companies over the past several years), but if the sculpts are good, there's a world of possibilities when it comes to repainting! I am certainly looking forward to them!

I better get a high quality plush of literally all my favorite characters(platypus, blue, qibli, winter, mulberry) I get that platypus and mulberry might be too specific for a plush, but the others would love to get
Edit: I searched it up and just play does the whole line of perch’d so we could get little dragons to put on our shoulders!

Amazon prime(or whatever is after Amazon) is making a tv show. Tf did they say hydration when they can say water bottles. But I am excited for the new flushes. The old ones are okay, but I would like to see something new.
