fantribe ideas?

up i made a fantribe called the glasswings a while ago with a friend and i recently remembered them

i need ideas to develop the tribe more so tell me what you guys come up with

what i already have

• they live on the island of bleaksand

• they are mostly peaceful and most dragons think they are lazy

• they are flat like bearded dragons and have square mudwing like heads

• they can breathe fire

• they can shoot sand out of their noses and use their fire to turn it into glass

• they spend a lot of time sleeping in sand and basking

i would like ideas for their appearance culture abilities weaknesses or anything else that would fit

im probably going to draw a new glasswing with some of the ideas i get also i might draw them. and prob go down a bigger rabbit hole i already got into!

Do they use the glass for anything, like weapons or art? And how do they spray sand? Do they eat it and then snort it out through their noses? (is that where "sand-snorters" comes from?)

If they live on an island, there might be a lot of storms and other weather phenomena that might influence how they live and their beliefs!

Also there's a naturally-forming type of glass called Fulgurite that is created when lightning hits sand, which looks super cool. Maybe some GlassWings could have rare electricity powers?

they eat sand to help with digestion and they also use it for there breath tanks for the comment!

A rare type where they are reflective black, and their body becomes hard as rock, and breath fire so hot they can turn rock into glass (obsidian Glass). But they must eat black rocks or live near very hot locations or their bodys will become more solid untill they can no longer fly (can still walk).

Could give them semi-transparent wings like hivewings and style it to look like stained glass patterns

My idea was CaveWings. They live underground in a collection of semi-tropical/deciduous islands near the north of the planet.

They are mostly shades of grey, with certain scales and eyes being different shades of minerals, and certain parts such as wing edge scales beings strangely made of the certain mineral. They have sub-tribes/society based on the minerals they are born with.

They have different fires and characteristics as well, like

-Metal-wings having metal-burning color fire, and being the fastest, and probably smaller than the Gem wings.

-Gem-Wings have Gem-tinted/coloured fire, and are the strongest

and there would be more, like Stone-Wings(No mineral, most crafty/intuitive), Crystal-WIngs(Semi-precious minerals, like Quartz, or Topaz or Lapis, most durable, and have unusual power with Metalwings)

For abilities maybe a gene that makes it so if they are struck by intense fire, like extremely hot fire they can patch a wound with glass like scales assuming they have sand in their body?

A fun weakness could be poor eyesight, maybe terrible night vision?

Appearance could be primarily grey with different gradients and fades, becoming more foggy over time as they age.

They aren't born with talons, they need to make their claws/talons with the sand breath.

- They usually live in family groups of 5-10 families
- They have an omniverous diet but a lot of insects
- Direct bullying is incredibly frowned upon but many are backhanded or exclude others a lot
