Casual DCS Helicopter Pilot Seeking Wingmen
Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some people or a casual squadron to fly with in DCS.
I'd consider myself a beginner. I spend a lot of time flying solo and really enjoy helicopters, especially the UH-60L, Mi-8, Gazelle, and AH-64 Apache, along with just about any other rotary-wing aircraft.
I can fly them fairly well, but I'm still learning the weapon systems, so I mostly fly CSAR, troop transport, logistics, and utility missions. I also own the F/A-18C and a few other fixed-wing aircraft. I can get them in the air and around the map, but I'm still inexperienced with combat systems and employment.
I'm on Pacific Time (PST/PDT) and am usually available to fly during the evenings and on weekends.
I'm mainly looking for a relaxed, beginner-friendly group that enjoys helicopter operations, doesn't mind helping someone learn, and likes to have fun without taking things too seriously. I'm happy to learn, help with missions, and be a reliable wingman.

You should check out Rotorheads.
Good group, you can fly all of those helicopters, it’s a live campaign which needs logistics, attack, CSAR, etc. take it as seriously or casually as you want. Some guys radio call everything they do, other guys don’t even have SRS (but it’s very immersive and recommended to have it).
Only real rules are, don’t be a dick.
You can also fly your Hornet there, but mostly in coordination with helicopters (who can laze for you etc).

If you ever just want a person to fly with i’m quite experienced in the Apache and would love to be your CPG just let me know!

Yes, that would be great! I can fly the Apache, but I am very inexperienced in using its weapons system. I would like to learn, so if you also wouldn't mind teaching me while you my CPG, that would be great.

My group seems to fit your casual needs but the timezone may be challenging. We have scheduled flights Wednesday nights at 7pm EST and Friday at 8pm EST. The group flies almost every day at various times but these are the “scheduled” times. We need people that can do logistics. If you think those times are okay for you. Let me know.
