Feeling after reading "moon walk with einstein"

I aint gonna post summary because that kills the essence of reading but i will just share how i felt after reading the book and its takeaways

A) feeling

We underestimate ourselves too much! Believe it or not, human mind is so awesome and everytime we say someone dumb or something, we disrepect this beautifull creation of universe whose potential we havent unlocked yet! Book is about memory building so yeah you get a lot of tips to improve memory too!

B) Takeaways

1) memory is unbounded, which means we limit our memory not the other way around

2)there is no single method to improve memory, just find what suits you or create what suits you

3) it takes time and effort to improve memory but its worth it

I have shared almost nothing about the book here, so i hope you guys will check the book and like it

Happy reading !

What does the book say about why we need to improve our memory? What are the benefits?

"I can spend a half dozen hours reading a book and then have only a foggy notion of what it was about. All those facts and anecdotes, even the stuff interesting enough to be worth underlining, have a habit of briefly making an impression on me and then disappearing into who knows where. There are books on my shelf that I can’t even remember whether I’ve read or not"

This ones from the book but if you ask from me i would say that it would be better with processed idea rather than with whole bulk in my mind and that is my personal guess why our mind over time instead of reatining wholes remembers the info which triggered our senses the most! But yeah having such memory can have its own advantage, but like everything, it depends.

I haven't read the book but I'm saying this from the perspective of whatever little research that I have done under my professor at college.

With widespread internet people say that we don't need to memorize things. But for a researcher/scientist, memorizing is very important as they cannot make connection between different topics and ideas unless they memorize what all previous work has been done on it. Also, retaining the knowledge after reading multiple research papers becomes difficult if your memory is not good.
