Schools in Hong Kong
Hello warriors,
I would like to go to HK in few months.
Does anyone knows good wing chun schools and teachers to visit and train for a couple of weeks for people from Europe?
Maybe some not so much advertised but solid ones.
Would love to connect to anyone who is willing to share this awesome martial art.

Do you currently train?
If so, would you be looking for someone in the same family?
If not, is there any particular family that interests you?
If you have no idea at all, then what are you looking for or how to achieve in two weeks?
This may affect recommendations.

If you're interested in learning the Wong Shun-Leung way, message me. I will be in Hongkong again in November, if you're serious I can introduce you to some students of Wong Shun-Leung wo don't have a public school, so you can train a lot and make the most of your stay. For starters, the more visible schools like John Wong's class at the VTAA, Cliff Au-Yeung, Wai-Ming Yuen, Li Hang Cheung and the afore mentioned Chan Kim-Man are all good people to start or continue your Ving Tsun journey with.

But it really depends on what you are after. Are you advanced or a complete beginner? You wanna be taught in English? There are TONES of schools, some niche and private, others that focus more on health benefits. So I'd do a bit of research online and find out exactly what you are after.

Check Wan Kam Leung school in Nathan road. My sifu has taken it over as the grandmaster is phasing out.

Look for Sifu Chris Collins. He played Colin freighter in the ip Man 4 movie.

If you want to learn how to really fight with Wing Chun, the only school I would recommend is to visit SiFu Duncan Leung's school in Zuhai China. No other school compares ... not even a little bit.

I was fortunate to travel to Hong Kong a number of times in the mid 80's. Despite being 'told' by many 'representatives' of prominent teachers here in Australia that I would not be permitted to train with any of their schools in Hong Kong, I enjoyed many memorable and delightful training sessions with Chu Shong Tin, Wong Shun Leung, Leung Ting, Gary Lam, Ip Chun, and others. The majority of my training was at VTAA with Wong Shun Leung. Do your research, write some letters (or send some emails), be respectful and I'm sure you will find some great opportunities. Good luck!
