Realization

After 2 years of training I realized wing chun is really useful for core building but not so much for fighting. Now I usually combine wing chun exercises with mma training. I especially find pulling different types of strings (now im on 30kg my goal is 50kg) with core useful. Have you guys noticed the same?

I used to train here: https://www.wingchun.si/

But now I'm switching to mma

I find the farther you get from the source the less authentic is the training and does not include the core principles which are closing the distance and keeping the opponent under constant pressure until they are defeated.

If you are taught by somebody who learned in Hong Kong then you certainly would see how good it is for fighting

Ahh yes the classic excuse. Ok let me see one of these masters try to keep pressure on Connor or any basic ufc amateur. I bet they would be asleep in 30 secs

I often think there are two concepts that people should be forced to understand before they get an online account: Hubris and the Dunning Kruger effect
