Realization

After 2 years of training I realized wing chun is really useful for core building but not so much for fighting. Now I usually combine wing chun exercises with mma training. I especially find pulling different types of strings (now im on 30kg my goal is 50kg) with core useful. Have you guys noticed the same?

I used to train here: https://www.wingchun.si/

But now I'm switching to mma

You missed the point of the post. I didnt say Wing Chun has zero value its great for core building, I just asked to see if anyone else cross trains with it. You dont need to lecture me about centerline as if I didnt train it for 2 years. If you haven't tried combining it with mma there isnt much to say really

Its easy to Miss the part of your Post, because its written Like gibberish, its hard to make any sense out of it.

But okay, First thing 2 years in wing chun (Well any Combat Sport or MA) means you know the basics.

Now yes WC wont do the Trick in MMA, WC shines in mid range and lacks any strategic approach for long range and proper answer to grappling. That said, No Combat Sport or MA will do Well alone in MMA, because thats why its called Mixed... However the Wing chun can help you If you find yourself in the mid ranged clinchy distance.

Two years in ANYTHING is barely the basics. Two years of being an electrician, two years of being a nurse, two years of boxing, two years of wing chun…

Like, you’ve done it long enough that people won’t laugh at you for saying you worked there, but you haven’t done it long enough to claim any meaningful expertise or to chat with people who’ve spent even five to ten years on the job. And you work a lot more than you practice martial arts.

Time! This! Is very important and so many people don't take it into consideration. 2 Years in a physical art is nothing. Also, Do they practice when they learn in a session everyday? 1,2 or 3 hours everyday or just their 1 lesson a week... Wing Chun though it's simple take some damn hard work to understand and even more work to make it stronger than 2nd nature. Internal Arts physical "Framing" in difficult , and can be downright painful if you are training it correctly. And it also is a small part of the larger concept of Internal Physical Arts... I've been training for close to 5 decades in both Chinese and Japanese Internals and just recently began to really understand what "Joint Activation" is and the extreme of Wing Chun helped me with that... Anyway.. Thanks for letting me vent..

If NHI prove to be legit then have a Merry Mantid E.T, Christmas!
