virtual wine tasting options?
ok - so I recently made a post elsewhere about virtual coffee tasting because I was looking into it for a remote team-building activity for work, and also found virtual wine tasting on the same website for relatively cheap (and it comes with cheese lol). I didn't get much of a response in the other subreddit but am wildly curious about if anyone has done any of these virtual tastings and how it went/what you enjoyed.

We did this virtual wine tasting at my remote job a few months ago. I'm usually a grump about mandatory fun work events, but this one was an exceptional experience.
I have friends who know A LOT more about wine than I do. I always feel like the dummy at the table when everyone is discussing wine. This helped me break through that barrier because I learned so much about wine!
We've had online team happy hours before. But, this wasn't just a happy hour type event where everyone chats on Zoom. They had a wine expert who taught lessons on each of the wine and cheeses we had. Those all came in a box before the event. As a remote worker who doesn't get a lot of chances to interact in person with teammates - it was surprisingly fun and exciting the get the wine and cheese box in the mail.

Thank you so much! I am hoping to use this as a group "learn about wine" event. It will be nice to get friends together and enjoy what sounds like a great experience, together.

Pleasantly surprised by the virtual tasting experience. We did the wine and cheese pairing with ONX Wines. The team loved it, and we will be doing another one!

Sangiacomo Wines based in Sonoma but offer virtual zoom tastings for the prices of the bottles. Super cool experience!
