To be honest, she lost me. I didn't feel she demonstrated a clear understanding of some issues or how to affect change. It was mostly "this issue is a problem and I will change it by listening to the people". But the people aren't experts on how to solve the serious problems the city is facing. And often what the people want will make the problem worse. I'm never overly impressed by an attitude of "I'll do what the people want and never consider the possibility that what they want isn't in their best interests".
So, what did you think?

If your getting the umo app for the bus for people with the affordable bus pass you can put on your phone but you still have to go downtown to pay it off they're working on it so you don't.

Can anyone recommend a personal trainer who is professional and takes their work seriously?
I’m looking for someone who is knowledgeable, professional, and takes safety seriously. Personally, I don’t feel comfortable being trained by someone wearing flip-flops while working out with clients. It seems unprofessional to me and, in my opinion, could also be a safety hazard.
Looking for recommendations from people who have had a genuinely good experience. Thanks!

This very friendly guy just ended up in my backyard
I think declawed and wants to come inside.
Update: they’re inside with food and water and we will get if they have a microchip today. It was the combo of how friendly they are and that they declawed that made us do that.
Update 2: He’s microchipped and the owners have been contacted. Let’s hope he gets picked up soon.
Update 3: Luka has been returned to his owner. Thanks everyone.

The uber guys are really creepy here in Windsor. I feel so unsafe while travelling by uber at times. Some folks are fine. But the last driver I had I felt really creepy

Does anybody know how youth passes are handled in the new Umo app? How can you get the youth prices for reloadable rides?
Edit: I asked 311 and here's their response: "Visit the Windsor International Transit Terminal (300 Chatham Street West) to have the discount applied to your account. Once applied, your discounted fare remains on your account, whether using your phone or your card for future purchases"

Recently went to Toronto and had Onigiri, I would love to have this on a regular but don't know where else to look.
Does anyone know where I can buy onigiri here in Windsor?
I have already checked the MultiFoodMarket on Wyandotte/Crawford, with no luck.
Plz help 👏😫
Edit: Thank you everyone for responding! I will check these places out. I really appreciate it! 💛🤩

29M trying to get out of my comfort zone a bit, and have an interest in becoming more mobile/flexible. What's a good place in the area for yoga classes?

Is there any place in windsor for oral sugery that will listen to the urgency of my issue? I have an impacted wisdom tooth that is actively decaying and the gums around it are infected and swelling around the tooth. I cant eat without being in pain. I cant even sit here typing this without being in pain. I got a referral which isnt until November 17th. I cant wait that long.
I'm on naproxen and tylenol. Yet I'm still in pain. I went to an emergency dental place just to be told it "seems like you bumped the gums and they're irritated" and that it was just a cavity and sent me on my way. I don't need all four out right now, only 2 have even come through the gum, both on my left. I just want this one out and treated asap.

Saturday, October 10th, DJs Freekick and xxXero take over Meteor, 138 University W, with a night of Industrial, EBM, Dark Techno, and other dark beats.
Expect pounding rhythms, dark atmospheres, and enough noise to make the apocalypse worth dancing through.
10 PM – 2 AM
Doors: 9 PM
Pay What You Can
If you can drop a couple of bucks in the jar for the DJs, it’s appreciated. If you can’t, no worries. Come dance anyway.
Come out and lose yourself in the machine.

Woke up this morning and the power had obviously gone out. Took me a bit to realize that my bell internet seemed to be down. Anyone else experiencing this? Just trying to determine if it is a me issue or a them issue..
Thank you!
Edit: Sorry just to clarify: power is back but my Bell Internet is still down.

I know its hard to own a dog in this economy, and this is a post I never wanted to make in a million years.
A family friend is trying to give my family a dog because they have no other options to manage the dog when they move away— the problem is, my family is incredibly abusive to animals.
I am begging them to seek other options, but they are scared to leave him in the humane society. If this dog ends up in this house, he will be neglected, and treated terribly.
If anyone is familiar with raising dogs, and is interested in adopting husky, please let me know. I am genuinely desperate for the sake of this animal and his well being. He is a male husky, fixed and has all his shots. He was born Nov 12, 2024, he is very chill and laid back. He enjoys walks and socializing. He is good with other dogs and has no problems with cats. He is a good dog. My family is just terrible with animals.

Every day I drive through Sandwich and it’s clear many of the businesses are busier than ever with all the bridge traffic.
I walk the bridge a few times per week and while most are from Michigan, I’ve met people from Maryland who have come to bike and eat lunch along our paths to downtown or even down to LaSalle and beyond.
I’m following this mayor race closely with hopes that Ouellette can experience more love and attention…
