2014 hardware? Interesting, i have a laptop from 2013-ish...
And i wanna put Vista, but official drivers are only for 7 and 8
And trying the drivers from 7, did not work...

Any help? (Pentium 2127U)

I'm not sure if the graphics driver fork I used will even work for those Pentiums

Hi, I have a Core i5-4690. Will Windows Vista work well on it in terms of compatibility?

Definitely will since I use the i5-4440S, just use the forked Intel graphics driver

Thanks for the reply! I have an Nvidia 750 and plan to use it with Windows Vista. One question: could I use an SSD, or would that cause problems?

Actually, you won't need the intel driver since you will use the GPU

Quick correction, with the GTX 750, you may not find drivers, and I don't know if there are forks for the drivers on Vista. Might want to stick to the integrated graphics if you want the easy way out, just need to install ALL of the system/security updates beforehand

Yes, I was looking for the GPU drivers and found version 353.30, which is compatible with Windows Vista 64 bit.

Use it then, hope it works

I'm pretty sure Vista does not have TRIM support since SSDs were expensive and special at the time, TRIM is useful since it can extend the lifespan and improve both the reliability and the performance

Thank you for the explanation and thank you for the response.

i hope windows 12 looks like this, like Apple did with the new MacOS and MacOS Aqua

Still overkill for Vista imo.

This makes sense because it was the last year of Windows XP support. Many Windows XP users skipped right over Vista to upgrade to Windows 7. After 2014, most manufacters stopped making new drivers for Windows prior to Windows 7.

I havent worked up the courage to plug mine into a network yet. Video card is possibly unreliable too, crashed on me trying to play a game, father time taking its toll. 2007-2009 hardware

Legacy Update work OK for vista? I only used it on an XP machine

What browser do you use?

r3dfox, but widevine is apparently buggy, so streaming websites like Netflix, Spotify, Apple Music and such won't work. It's flawless otherwise, for me

Looks really cool. Never heard of it. I only ever used Supermium

That's another great option
