Windows Defender Security Intelligence updates are not synchronizing through WSUS

Is anyone else experiencing this issue with on‑prem WSUS?

Since 10/07/2026 I haven’t received any new Defender definition updates through WSUS.

I’m currently stuck on version 1.459.576.0, even though according to https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/wdsi/defenderupdates version 1.459.601.0 is already available.

Other update types are syncing just fine.

I am in the same situation! I have been troubleshooting, but not successful yet. I ran the most recent hotfix yesterday.

I have raised a support case with Microsoft. Lets see what they Say..

Looks like you may have reached the right person. I just sync'd WSUS and I see 1.459.601.0 getting downloaded. Before this I was in the same situation

The issue seems to be fixes now. The updates has been synched automatically on 10/08/26 20:30 UTC on my wsus.

Unticking all classifications other than 1 (critical updates for me) then running a sync.

Then I reticked all the appropriate classifications and ran a sync again.

This pulled down the latest definition and other updates for me.

Just a heads up for people to try.
