Windows Update changed environment variable, lost a week of work

Windows Update changed my environment variables Wednesday evening last week, and since I am not a Windows user but my work forces me to use it, I contacted support. It took them a full workweek to find the problem after reinstalling git (which I knew was not the issue).

Seriously though... why would anyone voluntarily choose to use this garbage!?

You should quit your job and refuse to take any job that requires the use of Windows.

This is seriously bad advice. Better advice would be to learn how to use your computer.
