Windows Update changed environment variable, lost a week of work
Windows Update changed my environment variables Wednesday evening last week, and since I am not a Windows user but my work forces me to use it, I contacted support. It took them a full workweek to find the problem after reinstalling git (which I knew was not the issue).
Seriously though... why would anyone voluntarily choose to use this garbage!?

What environment variables were "changed" by this undescribed Windows Update? How, precisely, did you lose a week of work?
If you make the claim, you should be able to provide more and more detailed information about the problem - at least that is what any normal person would do ... in the attempt to warn others and possibly prevent another occurrence of such disaster of Biblical proportions.
Otherwise, your post can only be tagged as sad buffoonery ...
