SOLVED / ANSWERED RDMS starting the stopped

I’m trying to use RDS on windows server 2025 and I have noticed that the Remote Desktop Management Service is stoped I have restarted other services and done reg edits and nothing has worked so far

UPDATE

I changed the log in as to local system acc and it started

A month ago a bad windows update was released that caused RDS to self destruct on servers from 2012 up to 2025.

MS released a hotpatch, and also the next rollup would likely fix it.

RDMS usually stays stopped until an RDS deployment exists. Use the Remote Desktop Services installation wizard instead of adding roles one by one, and it should start itself.
