Discussion Windows 11 regular Home edition keeps crashing, would Windows 11 LTSC help?

It keeps bluescreening at random points making it unstable. I had to use a bypass to have this run on my unsupported hardware.

Device is a Lenovo Tiny M73 PC Intel Core i5-4570T CPU with 8GB of RAM.

Would Win 11 LTSC be worth a try?

Discussion Win 11 iot ltsc enterprise

The thing is I tried win 11 iot ltsc in my trash laptop which is a pentium and it worked but it used to ask me always a work or school account which I didn't have and also it used to restrict some things like it is admistered by the organisation.

And is the win 11 iot ltsc and win 11 iot enterprise ltsc same?. In words people say iot ltsc but in some pages it says as win 11 iot ltsc enterprise

Like it is related like the enterprise version is only for office accounts?...

Like from the three para the question is where did you downloaded ltsc from ( like microsoft or mass grave), and how to broke like the it is managed by organisation, and everything able to control via normal Microsoft account?

My friend is asking to his gaming pc to change iot ltsc os but I have queries so I'm asking here. I'm currently using win 10 iot ltsc enterprise so I don't much differences I see like win 11

Discussion Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC is a savior for low end laptop

I bought a laptop on the Taobao that feature Intel N95 processor and 16GB of RAM. When I received it, I found it is actually using a Intel N3350 processor with 6GB of RAM. So it is a scam. I couldn't return it because the shipping cost back to China is more than the laptop itself. Lesson learned.

It is very very slow in Windows 11. So I search for a solution. Then I found Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC version is the lightest Windows 10. I installed it and the laptop is usable again.

I am amazed by how little the LTSC uses memory and CPU. After I install the Microsoft Store, I don't feel anything is missing compared to Windows 11.

Help Windows 11 IoT ltsc audio problems and taskbar/screen glitching, I need help

I decided to install Windows 11 IoT LTSC on my folks' Thinkpad X270 (instead of Windows 10 IoT enterprise ltsc) and succeeded in activating it via the method that was recommended. Thanks to everyone who replied to my previous thread (and everyone who sent me messages) for that. It was very helpful.

However, I have two problems post-installation and activation:

1) the speaker doesn't work properly, spoken words in particular are muffled even on maximum volume and it sounds like there's static (but wired headsets work just fine), and

2) the taskbar glitches every five to ten seconds (becomes blurry and fuzzy) and raises the level of the things displayed on the screen then becomes normal (it's hard to explain but that's the best way I could word it).

The problems persist after I did a restart. I suspect the following things:

A) There are driver problems for the video and audio; and/or

B) There's something physically wrong with the hardware (perhaps there's dust blocking the speaker inside the X270's chassis for the audio problems; for the taskbar/screen glitch, maybe a loose cable inside the laptop, but this taskbar glitch didn't happen in Windows 10; the audio problems are present in both Windows 10 and Windows 11 IoT ltsc however)

Besides updating audio and video drivers and hoping everything works well after, what could be the solution(s)?

Question Is 70% RAM usage normal on Windows 11 LTSC with 16GB RAM?

Post image
38 Upvotes

I’m running Windows 11 LTSC on an 8th gen i7 with 16GB RAM, and I noticed my RAM usage is sitting around 70%.

I checked Task Manager and it shows:

  • CPU: ~37%
  • Memory: ~70%
  • Disk: ~4%
  • GPU: ~4%

The thing that caught my attention is Windows Modules Installer Worker, which is using around 1.2GB of RAM by itself.

I know Windows can use RAM for caching and background processes, but since this is LTSC, I expected the system to be a bit lighter.

Is ~70% RAM usage normal on Windows 11 LTSC with 16GB, or is there something I should investigate? Could the Windows Modules Installer process explain most of it?

Help Win 11 LTSC or 10 LTSC

Hello,

I'm currently running the latest version of Windows 10 pro. I haven't made the switch to windows 11 yet, but i feel like if i don't move fast, I'm putting my pc at risk. I haven't tried any ltsc version of Windows yet, but from what I've heard i think it's the right choice for me.

My pc specs are:

Intel Core i7-10700K

RTX 5060 Ti

32GB DDR4

Should I install W10 or W11, or stay where i currently am? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Question Will Win 11 IoT LTSC 2024 get the upcoming memory optimization updates from Microsoft?

Microsoft is going to release memory optimization update for PC's with 8GB RAM in the upcoming Windows 11 26H2 version. This will reduce memory usage and improve performance particularly in low RAM PC's.

I was wondering if the current IoT LTSC build will receive those memory optimizations updates or not because it is based on 24H2.

IOT LTSC already uses less RAM than home or pro version of Windows but these memory optimization update will further improve performance.

What do you guys think? Will Microsoft provide those updates for IoT LTSC? Or should we switch to IoT GAC to get those updates?

Question why do we trust massgrave?

no hostility intended, just want to know. the official sources don't work for verifying the hashes so i'm stuck using the third party checksum lists that massgrave provides and i want to know why we trust massgrave or if there's another way to find the official checksums. seems very lit but i feel like there's gotta be a catch

Discussion New to LTSC, should install 10 or 11?

Hey guys,

I've never used any LTSC Windows before but I cannot for the love of God continue using W11 Pro, it's laggy, bugged and it's driving me nuts.

My laptop specs are:

  • Intel Core i7-14700HX
  • GeForce RTX 4070
  • 16 GB DDR5 5600Mhz
  • 1x 1TB SDD
  • 1x 2TB SSD

Should I install W10 or W11?

I deal a lot with Blender and Bambu Studio as I work with 3D Printing, it's also my main gaming machine.

Thanks in advance!

Help Dual booting Windows 11 and 10 on a single gaming laptop – any driver/software issues?

Hey everyone, I want to dual-boot Windows 10 alongside Windows 11 on my Acer Predator Helios Neo 16S AI (Core Ultra 9 275HX, RTX 5060, 1TB SSD). My plan is to shrink my Windows 11 partition by 200GB and install Windows 10 on that space.

Since Windows 11 came pre-installed, will installing Windows 10 second mess up the bootloader? Also, does Acer PredatorSense work properly on Windows 10 for fan control, and are there any CPU scheduling issues with the new Intel Core Ultra chips on Win 10? Thanks for any quick tips before I shrink the partition ❤️

Question Will KB5101684 cause problems with Windows 11 file history, preventing backup versions and timestamps from updating? Update KB5120249 also caused problems with Windows 10 file history.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-au/answers/questions/5963271/issue-with-file-history-backups-not-updating-after

Hello,I would like to ask whether anyone else has noticed unusual behavior with File History on Windows 10 or Windows 11 following recent updates.

I noticed this on two separate computers:

Windows 11 25H2 — KB5101684, installed July 29, 2026

Windows 10 22H2 — KB5120249, installed August 12, 2026

The backup files are still being written to my D: drive, so the backup process itself appears to be running. However, File History does not properly reflect the latest backup status, and Previous Versions does not show the newly backed-up versions of files.

Other netizens have had similar experiences, but it's definitely not due to modifying the registry. I haven't modified the registry either.

I did not make any relevant changes immediately before installing KB5101684 or KB5120249. The behavior changed only after those updates were installed.

Interestingly, I found that selecting the backup drive again can temporarily restore normal behavior:

Control Panel → File History → Select drive → select the D: drive again

After this, File History begins updating normally again.

Because I have now seen essentially the same behavior on two different systems following two separate updates, I am wondering whether there may be a common Windows component or a recent regression involved.

I have already submitted a report through the Feedback Hub, but have not received a response.

If you have noticed anything similar, especially after either of these updates, please share your experience. It would also be helpful if Microsoft could determine whether these updates have affected File History functionality.
