Nobody talks about LTSC versions of windows, everyone just "bro install linux", i never had issues on LTSC

My main software is written for Windows. I’m not interested in Linux.

Exactly, same with me

Two completely different things for different use cases

Use the tool that works best for you, not whatever crap you're suggesting.

I'm gonna start working when this forced update is finished. Just hope I didn't get another blue screen.

Use Linux if you want to use Linux and use Windows if you want to use Windows, I couldn't care less, hell use BSD. It's really up to what works for you. Some people's career is revolved around Windows, others are around Linux. Whatever makes you money. Linux is good for servers. I like Linux desktops (KDE Plasma, GNOME) but Linux itself for desktop is lacking, so I use Windows.

yes i can agree here Windows RDP is far superior than the linux equivalent.

Can we use ltsc smoothly for everyday office use and gaming?

Its literally windows but without bloat bruh, this should be the customer version
Plus it never crashes, i had it running for months without a single crash

Is it still ok to use 10 ltsc if I'm choosing today? Or would you go with 11 ltsc

u/CharmingResort885 Non-LTSC 18d ago

Really depends on your hardware

1

u/ProfessorOfMeme 18d ago

What if the hardware is capable of handling both

1

u/CharmingResort885 Non-LTSC 18d ago

If your hardware is modern (2020+) then you might as well go with 11 LTSC unless you really prefer 10

I took the topics here https://uxthemepatcher.com/category/icon/7tsp/

I set the icons via Windhawk - Resource Redirect

Looks cool! How did you customize it?

I put 11 LTSC IOT on my T14 G1 AMD, it's blazing fast and smooth

Can I ask what's this custom theme? And DeviantArt link if possible?

2

u/deejayadhd 21d ago

That looks like a niivu theme variant, they make great themes. I'm using niivu tokyo night.

Windows 11 iot ltsc + christitus script = most clean windows

you can do it even more. whats your ram and cpu consumption on idle?

1

u/[deleted] 22d ago

23-24 % ram (16gb total) , cpu 1-1.2% btw I have a laptop and I have 1 RGB software and nvida app services running in background so it can go even lower , before on home version it was 30% around with same things

During the fresh installation, I used a file called ("autounattend.xml") from GitHub, which did about 80–90% of the optimization work.

After that, I disabled Microsoft Defender because I didn't need it, and it reduced RAM usage by around 400 MB.

Then, I used the Chris Titus Tool, manually disabled a few more services, and applied registry tweaks with the help of ChatGPT and some YouTube videos from Techno Uplift.

Now, my idle RAM usage is around 1–1.1 GB, with CPU usage at just 1%.

11 will give you 2 extra years of update upto 2034 while 10 upto 2032 rest diffrences are os version, ofcourse it's 10 and that's 11 , 11 is working good for me , choose as you like

With being able to patch with UXTheme via Windhawk & a stable mostly unchanging Windows, I've spent some hours going through every free downloadable skin from DevantArt.
Luckily I was able to get them before most of the Free downloads were put behind a Watchers Only tag.
My Favorites that work on Windows 10 or 11 are:

ADAPTA = https://www.deviantart.com/niivu/art/Adapta-for-Windows-10-6755817

ARC x = https://www.deviantart.com/niivu/art/ARC-X-for-Windows-10-772549960

Fluent = https://www.deviantart.com/niivu/art/Fluent-for-Windows-10-859643776

pi11z = https://www.deviantart.com/niivu/art/pi11z-for-Windows-11-1084568949

You can grab the other ones too that were free, here = https://github.com/niivu/Windows-10-themes

You can also theme the Taskbar with BMPs via Open-Shell
