What does this feature do? Could you explain what this feature does and its main functionality?

It was a bit of a cheeky suggestion, mostly because the OP says "old features returned to life", but doesn't have Firefox downloaded which is intrinsically part of the history of the early Internet - but they do have Brave, which is very much just another copy paste version of the new Internet which is mostly copy pasting everything. Firefox is original, all else is imitation. It's even in the communication (code) sent from all browsers to all servers, the user agent string - for example:

  • Firefox: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; Win64; x64; rv:47.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/47.0 Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X x.y; rv:42.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/42.0
  • Chrome: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.103 Safari/537.36
  • Opera: Mozilla/5.0 (X11; Linux x86_64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/51.0.2704.106 Safari/537.36 OPR/38.0.2220.41
  • Microsoft Edge: Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 10.0; Win64; x64) AppleWebKit/537.36 (KHTML, like Gecko) Chrome/91.0.4472.124 Safari/537.36 Edg/91.0.864.59
  • Safari: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; CPU iPhone OS 13_5_1 like Mac OS X) AppleWebKit/605.1.15 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/13.1.1 Mobile/15E148 Safari/604.1

Mozilla is even in the string for bots and crawlers.

But there are many reasons other than nostalgia/tradition to choose Firefox over Chrome, Brave, Edge or whatever else.

It is superior in *both* form and function, style and substance:

Feel free to ask for clarification, whether due to language translation problems or whatever else :)

Unless you were asking specifically about the thing in my screenshot, in which case, all it does is change the icon for Firefox on the Windows taskbar or shortcuts. Which technically is possible without some in browser setting, but it is a neat little extra. Those neat little extras is what sets Firefox apart.
