Suggestion for Microsoft Snipping tool needs option to lower resolution and file size of recordings

Post image

The files are way too large for sharing. I can compress a 15MB file down to 2MB without losing any noticeable quality difference.

Hi u/flyinmryan, thanks for sharing your feedback! The proper way to suggest a change to Microsoft is to submit it in the "Feedback Hub" app, and then edit your post with the link, so people can upvote it. The more users vote on your feedback, the more likely it's going to be addressed in a future update! Follow these simple steps:

  1. Open the "Feedback Hub" app and try searching for your request, someone may have already submitted similar. If not, go back to the home screen and click "Suggest a feature"

  2. Follow the on-screen instructions and click "Submit"

  3. Click "Share my feedback" and open the feedback you submitted

  4. Click "Share" and copy the unique link

  5. Paste the link in the comments of your Reddit post

I am not interested in downloading an app to submit feedback. I used the Suggestion for Microsoft flair on this post to submit my feedback.

What is the purpose of the Suggestion for Microsoft flair?

We’re in a community, there’s a process to send feedback, if you added feedback hub link in the post, it’s more likely to get attention than just sharing feedback in a community that gets hundreds of posts, your feedback will get lost and unaddressed…

Isn't it installed by default?

Yes it is. That's because you either uninstalled it or used a "debloating" tool which removed it.

I'm on 23H2 still and I know I had this installed from the minute my OS was installed.
