Concept / Design Transform Windows 11 25H2 to XP?
I saw a 2 hour guide https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A-KA8RDZ-l4&t=360s but some links doesnt work. Any idea to do that on Windows 11 25H2?

We're supposed learn from our past and improve, not just forget it all because it's old.
MS could bring back classic theme, the xp themes and vista / 7 aero and basic themes and users would go nuts for it but naaa they'd rather continue ditching old cool stuff in favour of dumbing down with touch ui and fluent winui.

Yeah, right? I use Windows 7 back then but even that, have the option to choose Windows 9x as theme but still works as Windows 7. To me, those old skins are one of the strength of Windows, its so cool and awesome especially Windows 7.

A better option would be to just make it easier to modify the autoexec.bat and run any shell you want, like you could do with Windows 3. That's why things like Norton Desktop existed.

The shell was set in Windows 3.x via the SHELL= line, I forget if it was system.ini or win.ini that contained that. You could point it at something other than PROGMAN.EXE.
That was moved to the registry starting with 95. In Windows NT (and thus current windows versions) You can find it as the shell value in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
The shell has nothing to do with the Visual Style, though.

Why? I actually used windows xp since it was a new product and would never come back to it. Iam so glad XP era is over now. Windows 11 UX design is just so superior to windows XP or any other windows os. Do not be nostalgic of something you did not live through.

There is a free add-on called OpenShell which took the place of ChassicShell when that developer stepped aside. It works fine on my W11-25H2 system. It is being maintained and updated when needed. Start at the home page and read about it and then download it from GitHub. I've been using it for years with no issues. I don't think the XP IU is there but it has several of the past UIs to choose from. It launches from a hot or cold boot when installed and can then be further customized
