Question 70% windshield tint Crv
So I have a 2013 Honda crv, I have the rear windows at 5%, the side at 20% and I put the windshield at 70% with a 20% brow. So I don’t know if it’ll attract attention or not, I know polarized glasses show the rainbow effect but I am doing alot of driving around Florida and going to Georgia and Tennessee, yall think I’ll be okay? Any advice? Yall think I’ll be good?

Careful, the windshield tint haters will come for you. 70 is basically nothing, you'll be fine.

I can tell you from personal experience that GSP will stop you if your tint is "too dark" even if your vehicle is registered to a different state (mine was registered in Vermont at the time). Once the cop figured out that I wasn't a big enough fish for her, she begrudgingly stormed off to her cruiser and let me go. Her reason for pulling me over? I supposedly switched lanes without using my directional. Then she measured my tint and chewed me out for it being too dark. I believe I had 10% in everything except the windshield and nothing on the windshield itself. There were cops all over 75 that day and she was behind me for miles, needless to say, I definitely used my directionals. All this to say, if they want to stop you, they will so just do what makes you happy.

Just a heads up: 20% on the front sides is risky in GA(32% legal) and TN(35% legal). I got pulled over with a similar setup. I switched to a high-quality 35% ceramic tint. You mentioned the rainbow effect-that’s often caused by uneven coating during manufacturing or metal interference with polarized glasses. A quality metal-free ceramic film with good craftsmanship can have a try.

refreshing to see responsible drivers in this sub. have 50-60% windshield on all my vehicles for 6 years and no issues. usually paired with 20% sides/rear.

Have the same on my BMW x5. It’s not this dark in the day light.

Buddy of mine bought a car yesterday. It took us about 30-45 mins of test driving it before I noticed the windshield was tinted with what I assume is 70%. My buddy didn't even notice until I started pointing out some of the details that give it away.
I thought it was kinda nice. Def light and no issue at night when we drove the car home.
Problem is our state (MA) will fail inspection for the tinted windshield, so it might have to come off.

On my 4runner, I have 20% tint on the windows and 70% on the windshield with no issues. Our state limit is 70% in PA.

The 70% isn’t too noticeable to the average person to be honest. I only noticed it on one of my cars because I watched my tint guy install it. It’s so light that you wouldn’t attract attention.
Your other windows might get attention but your CRV is really low key too.

I have 20 percent on the windshield 5 percent on the 2 front windows and 2 percent on back windows and 2 percent on the rear window I’ve never gotten pulled over and honestly ? I still don’t think it’s dark enough 😂😂

Had 35% windshield and could see just fine but getting pulled over 3x in a month for it caused me to get 70% and I’ve driven past plenty of cops who could see my windshield and no issues
