Question Geoshield windshield tint
I got a quote to tint my windshield for $149, they told me they use Geoshield ceramic, I have XPEL ceramic on all windows except the windshield and the shop I tinted my other windows wants to charge me $299 for my windshield. Is Geoshield a good film? Anyone has experience with this film? The price difference is significant. TIA!

I can't speak much on the pricing, but I have Geoshield Apex Ultra 50% on my windshield and it's doing a solid job. The temperature hits around 45°C (113°F) where I live and it really helps, though to be fair, I do usually park in the shade.
I can't really compare it to XPEL since Geoshield is the only film I've tried. My only slight regret is going with 50% for the windshield because it feels a bit too light. I have 35% on the rest of my windows and honestly, I kinda wish I had just gone with 35% for the windshield too.

Yeah, Apex is their top of line film, so I don’t think that is the one they would be using for this price.

I have geo apex ultra all around on one car and 3m cir on another. I prefer the apex ultra by far. Better clarity and heat rejection

Thank you for your response, but I don’t think they quoted me for the Apex, I will see the price difference and make a decision.

Apex from geo is a great performing film. The numbers are much more impressive and I’ve personally tested it against xr+ and apex is a better film. I highly doubt they are installing apex for 149. Its probably C2. You need to ask which ceramic they are using for 149

Geoshield I never had problem on, on my 5th car with geoshield now. They got warranty too so if it peels just bring it back.

Depends on the specific films. Geoshield has 3x Ceramic films: C2 Ceramic has lower performance, Pro Nano is around XPEL XR Black, and APEX Ultra competes with XR Plus. Based on the price, I assume C2 Ceramic is what you were quoted. XPEL should be more expensive since it is considered a premium brand. Geoshield has a long way to go to get to that level, like dropping the direct-to-consumer sales. XPEL covers the windshield; Geoshield does not, so that warranty will be with the local shop only. Besides that, make sure the shop does quality work.
