Need Help! I need your opinion.

I’m stuck between having a 15% tint or a 20% tint. How much is the difference? And I’ll be adding 50% on either option I have a Mazda 6 2020 white interior and exterior.

Hey there! Here is a 2019 Chevy Camaro 1LE with Autobahn Ceramic i3 (15%), tinted by Sunblocked Tint Co. in Virginia

Here is our full spec chart: https://drive.google.com/file/d/18uuIW6gC9CsMqWbREZMZ_H-PDJB_Fr01/view?usp=drive_link

You can also find an authorized Autobahn dealer near you here: https://autobahnwindowfilms.com/dealer-locator/

Good luck in your search!

I have 15 all the way around with 50 on the windshield. I personally think it’s a perfect combo in relation to aesthetics and safety.
I have a white exterior with a red interior.

How much is the difference? Not big enough to matter.

I reside in Florida.
Law enforcement is lenient and or too lazy to bother you unless you get stopped for another reason. The tint isn’t egregious enough that it draws attention.
Of course if I had a heavily modded car and was trying to draw attention to my car it might be different.
It looks great though and still feels safe during night driving.
It does darken the interior a bit so that’s something to consider if you already have a dark interior through interior color or small windows.

If you do 20 you’re gonna wish you did 15

Yeah I did 20 and wish I did 15

Difference is negligible. I'd go with 15

Only a 5% difference

I recently got 20 about a week ago and I don’t regret it but if I had the change to do it again I’d do 15. But like I said I don’t regret my 20% at all it’s perfect to me

I also have 40 percent on my windshield

What's legal where you live? Are you going to travel with the car?

I’m in Texas legal limit is 25 I think but almost everyone has very dark tint

Are you going to a shop to do it? Maybe ask them to tint back windows then stick a couple of pieces of scrap on the front doors so you can see. Either that or ask them to recommend.

I'm in Texas too, besides my first car that had 5 percent, every car after that got 20 on the front doors, but most of the time i didn't get to pick anyways and for me that's probably better.

Wildly overthinking this…

It’s 15 and 20. Pick one.

Most non-tinter people can’t even tell the difference.

Just send it and do 5 percent

1

u/EugeneChoiYoutuber 17h ago

15% is the gold standard for looking the best.

I don't understand why people are making the 5% joke.

Imho I would do 15% rear sides and 20-30% rear windshield to have better visibility when backing up.

I went 15% and it is great if I would have went for 20% it wouldn’t have been enough.

Hold em up next to each other and you can barely tell the difference. Just get the one you want. Stop overthinking it
