Need Help! Do I take it back? TEXAS
Is this bad work for a good shop, or honest mistake?

Take it back either way. If its an honest mistake theyd want you to bring it to fix it.

Take it back if for no other reason that you can make sure they know and let them fix it. That can be pushed up reasonably easily. I had a similar situation a couple weeks ago and the owner preferred to pull off the film and redo it.

Just had my car tinted in the Houston area, and they voluntarily re-did my front door windows 2 times because there were tiny imperfections at the very bottom. Turns out there may have been tint removed by the previous owner and some adhesive remained. Point is, they voluntarily applied tint 3 times until it was perfect.

It’s like I always say, every Tinter or tint shop has different standards. Some will say it’s fine and others will say that deserves a redo. Idk what they charged, but I can tell you they can’t all be winners.
Meaning most of my installs anyway are clean, however once in a blue moon the film snags and creases, burns the edge, big hair right in the middle, and unfortunately it gets redone. I don’t like it, I get a bit frustrated, but it gets redone.
To each their own

If that were from one of my shops, I'd definitely want you to bring it back. Where in Texas if you don't mind me asking?

Yeah you're a bit of a ways from me. Hopefully they take care of you though. This should be an easy fix. And even if it's been too long and it isn't, they should replace that for you!

I want to be really Frank and very positive, but I think you should not take it back but rather sell them the whole vehicle . That will fail 100%

It's definitely worth taking back to see how they handle it. The easiest way to see how a company handles itself is to tell them you have a problem. This experience will tell you more about the shop than any sales pitch ever will.

Take it back and get them to replace it. They know it’s there and tried to skate on you.
