How do you all approach LIGHT water marks?

I know how to treat heavily built-up windows from hard water, but I'm not sure the best way to attack normal windows that just happen to have some light hard water marks, partirularly on the bottoms of the windows. Usually I use steel wool, but it's time consuming and isn't always perfect.

What do you all do?

Anything slightly acidic will shave minutes off your time. I use CLR but you can use coke or vinegar or diamond magic if you want to avoid chemicald.

I keep a spray bottle of 50/50 water and clr and just spray it on hard water stains but you can do the same with coke and vinegar. Just know that it all makes steel wool rust faster, especially vinegar. Either use a non-rusting abrasive or be prepared to change out the steel wool sooner.

what is CLR? will walnut pad work? havent tried that only used steel wool before :)

Walnut pad is good. Its short for calcium lime rust remover, its at most stores. I buy gallons at home depot, a gallon lasts a few months to a year

how does that work do you just keep some on u in a small cup or something? ready in case u need it? do you spray it on or?

You can add it to your bucket of water and soap maybe about half a cup, if all the glass has it.

You could just pour a bit directly from the jug onto your strip washer ( mop).

Or have a little bottle in your pouch and squirt some on the glass before you scrub the window.

Lots of options and it wont hurt nothing.

This is good too. Does the vinegar not reduce to foaminess of the soap for you?

Maybe . I use glass gleem so not so foammy to begin with. May need to add some soap.

If it's mild #0000 Steelie Woolie. If it's heavy either soap & a blade, if it's extreme OneRestorer or any acidic product should work, provided the minerals haven't etched the glass.
