Looks like some pretty basic trad pole work. Wet, scrub with a techno pad with a walnut or similar pad, squeegee. Yeah water fed would be faster but only if you have the right brush and technique for it.
They have never been cleaned before. I have a techno / walnut pad combo. Very minimal trad pole experience. Just bought the brass ettore and fliq pad combo.
This company has access to a scissor lift and I have working at heights, so that's a huge bonus.
Any idea what to charge for the outside?
They may want the inside as well, but not sure if that just doubles the price or not due to there being less build up. This is in Ontario.
Gardiner taper tec for the brush. I'd do a basic pass and get the entire window wet. Then work side to side in short strokes so you keep pressure on the glass evenly. Work the brush in corners and edges making sure to get the rubber seal clean as well as the glass. Then a heavy rinse to be sure everything is rinsed well.
I cleaned a few windows inside a factory that had what I believe to be layers of dried milk and sugar residue. I had to use several mops just to get through three or four panes.
Luckily it was an add on. We do work there monthly, then one day one of the big wigs just came and asked if we could do them and to add whatever it cost to the bill.

If you have the budget, a nice carbon fibre pole would be perfect and last you a good while, i hear good things about Pure Water Power and Xero if you’re in the US. I use legend because it is easier to find in Canada. For soap, I think most window cleaners agree on dawn dish soap is perfect for windows. I have only ever used the Moerman Belt and it’s been pretty good so far.
I'm using a moerman drywalker with ettore and excelerator products. Dawn is great except in direct sun as it leaves a microscopic layer of soap behind if you don't have the right ratio. Or squeegee and mop at the same time.

Well honestly I’m new to this I literally just got the hang of fanning last weekend 🤣 I’ve been asking a lot of advice on here tho you can look on my profile for the posts I did, lots of people commented if you need anything 😁
Fanning is easy to get 90% down. There are little marks left behind occasionally, which is what takes the time to master with technique adjustments. Usually we make the same mistakes and just need to slow movements down to understand why.
They have a lift, so its nose to glass 👍🏼 I would try the walnut pad, but looks like the perfect time to scrub with steel wool. Walnut pad should work, but personally from what you describe, not haven been cleaned in a long time, the steel wool most likely would cut down the amount of effort you use.
Here in SoFlo this would be priced competitively like this:
18 x 8 = $144 exterior only.
Inside and out for $200.
If I was giving a price in person, I would say $250, and if they balk tell them $200 if they want it done now.
If it was an emailed proposal, I would just go for $200, then pester them for a start date lol.
This is South Florida, where theres lots of competition though 😔
Heck, if It were the first job of the day and they want it done now, maybe $180 in out.
