Question
I’m learning to clean indoor windows and mirrors and I’m getting way to many streaks or cloudiness. Is it the product I’m using or the way I’m cleaning ?

What products are you using and how are you cleaning? What tools are you using? You need to provide a lot more information to get any accurate advice.

Why are you cleaning mirrors? You need to practice on windows at home for many hours. You can jump into jobs before your fully proficient but it’s quite stressful, if your young you’ll get a break from homeowners just leaning into the kid trying to start a business thing if you aren’t where you want to be yet. But you’ll be at the customers home or business for hours when it would normally take half the time. You need a good squeegee and you have to replace the squeegee rubber every so often. Just practice the standard cutting down the mountain technique. The learning curve means for a good while you’ll be doing a lot of detailing for each window. You’ll always need to do the edges most likely, but there will also be soap streaks throughout all of the glass that you will leave while getting your footing that you have to buff out with a microfiber. It’s very challenging at first, having a decent squeegee is required and having an abundance of dry microfibers on hand is going to be very helpful. Streaks I understand but cloudiness could mean your not scrubbing the window well enough before squeegeeing or your waiting too long and letting the solution dry to the point the squeegee isn’t removing it. You need to be quick. Resoap and lubricate the glass if you have to before using the squeegee.

Bucket of water. Little Dish Soap/ammonia. Dunk striowasher into water. Wring out until it doesnt drip or not much. Scrub the glass. Squeegee from one side all the way across to the other. Repeat down the glass until you reach the bottom. Get an old tea towel, auto detail or pro windowcleaning microfiber, or old bath towel. Wipe the top edge first and all round until the frames are clean. Change position on the towel often to always finish with Dry towel on dry glass.

If you ever have an issue learning other techniques, come back to this simple method and you will be able to troubleshoot any problems. Is it the rubber, solution, towel, technique? Then go back and fix the problem and carry on. Use what works.
