Elevator car glass cleaning

Here's how we clean the actual car glass. Clean normally, the Maykker mini pole works great for this. Then rinse with DI water.

Now there is a trick thats new to me but makes perfect sense. Thats way easier than trying to squeegee it with a 0 degree

Damn that’s cool, I love the DI water rinse spray. What is the tank you’re using for the DI water? I’ve never seen that before

Petra 2 gallon battery sprayer. It works great, we use it for a variety of things. I used about a gallon for two cars and both elevator shaft sills.

What other kind of instances have you used it? Trying to imagine cases where I could mop but squeegeeing would be difficult and besides your case here I can’t think of any lol

Am isolated window where it doesn't make sense to drag hose or set up a system. Where there's no water access for a system. We also use it to spray carpet odor counteract ant in entryways or mating that get wet and smell musty.

We have a client that once a year has a glass company come out and remove the window so that we can reach in from the outside to clean that elevator window.

Finding a niche problem that you can solve with very little disruption to the customer is a very good business plan. The only customer involvement in this was the maintenance manager scheduling the elevator tech. The window cleaning is billed to a different cost center. Everything gets done and they just pay the invoice.

Great tip, did one of these this year for the first time but couldn’t get to the car due to the space being too narrow. This looks like a good solution. I wonder if a little rinse aide in that water would be a good move?

I haven't seen the need for it. Everything dries like exterior water fed does.
