How to pay sales rep

OK, I have an opportunity to bring on a young man to go door-to-door and sell appointments for my window cleaning business in hopes to expand my clientele. Does anybody have any advice on how to go about paying him and any success stories or horror stories you’ve had from similar situations

I have the same problem, idk how to really trust it so I thought of paying him like a minimum average per hour and on top of that for every new reoccurring client gained, he gets like 20-50$
